What's HeartGold and SoulSilver?

    i have platinum but like will these be almost the same as platinum?
    i really dont want it to be

    they're remakes of the old Gold and Silver versions...there's a whole forum in the games section where you could learn everything we know about it. '__'
     
    Woah. I LAUGHED when I saw the title to this. O.o

    Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are the remakes of Gold, Silver and Crystal. You could have just guessed that by looking at the titles. O.o And no, they will not be much like Platinum. I'd think that they'd be A LOT better. ;)

    Person with two posts asking about something that no one outside the fandom would know about isn't always a troll.

    You an like playing Pokemon without being a part of a Pokemon community for the last three years, so when you do join seeing all this stuff about "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver" can be confusing.

    I'm guessing he's a troll because he's laying it on to hard. I see it as, he comes on to the forum and makes this post, expecting everyone to go completely insane with rage at the fact that a guy so new (evidenced by "i hope it's not like platinum") wouldn't know about GSC. The name also shows no thought put into it, furthering my beliefs that he hastily made the account to piss of fanboys/girls.

    And the "I have no idea what it's about". All mainstream Pokemon games' storylines are identical, this furthers the "noobishness" that he thinks will make them angry.

    But, like I said, that's just my 2 cents.

    If that crazy idea was true, then it seems to be working. -_-

    HG/SS are the DS remakes of G/S (gold and silver) previosly released for the Game Boy Color in 2000. It was 2000, right?

    Pikapikapika123 is more creative than "Fishyman", and "Redstar" (which I use everywhere I go if I can), not to mention all the other millions of usernames out there that may or may not be creatively-inspired. Username simply is no indication of the person behind it.

    Some people, believe it or not, were born after us. I was lucky enough to be born in 1990, so I happen to know about and have played the first and second generation of Pokemon. Other people, a great deal, were born a few or more years afterward. Maybe their parents bought them Platinum just as a game to play in the car and they liked it, but they didn't become part of the fandom and so would have no idea Platinum was part of a series.

    Like I said before, HeartGold and SoulSilver aren't going to be known about outside the gaming community, and even then probably only by those that like Pokemon the way we do.

    Like I said, you may be (and are probably) right. But from my experiences on the internet, this just screams "I'm a troll".

    You mean "she" dear. The one who made this thread is a female. By the way, not everyone knows a lot about Pokemon like we do.

    To Pikapikapika123, you can check out the HGSS section. There is a thread explaining what it's about.

    HGSS is a lot different than Platinum. In HGSS, any of your Pokemon can follow the trainer outside of its pokeball. Also, you can go to both Johto and Kanto and get 16 badges. :)
     
    Geesh people, she's new and most people haven't heard of the remakes.
     
    Yea I would have guessed probably that they are reamkes , but I also know only for a short time(about april or march) that these remakes are being released (and I love it , because I was so inlove with my silver version and the *** battery of course is flat...) I really hope they are doing it well . I wouldnt even care for the minigames , just the whole new game :D . First time I played silver was as a patched rom in some dubious mix of english and random characters being amazed at the improved colour ^^. I bought it a day before it was released officially in 2001 ^^(europe) So I am so looking forward to it .
