Event PokeCommunity's Top 50 Favourite Pokemon!

🎶🎶 it's the final countdown 🎶🎶

Hydreigon, Krookodile and Tyranitar are in the top 10, love it. It's also been a surprising list so far since a lot of popular Pokemon ended up lower than I thought - Scizor, Gengar, Aegislash, Gardevoir, etc 🤔
 
Alright, it has been long overdue, let's see who are the favourite 5 according to PokeCommunity!

This Light Pokemon has not only made lighthouses brighter but has shined into the hearts of many. A super cute Pokemon with an evolution line that feels like natural progression, namely how it slowly loses its wool as it gains more electricity, and it is loved for how every form feels distinct. While slow, it sure packs a punch as well as its Mega form amplifying its power. Loved since gen 2, this Pokemon was also the MVP of one voter's Gold team and therefore remembered.

Choosing the Water-type starter for the Johto region eventually transforms into the Big Jaw Pokemon beloved for its awesome crocodilian design as well as being underrated. This Pokemon can also be useful in battle and in game thanks to a combination of Sheer Force, decent bulk, strength, and ability to learn Dragon Dance. That's one tough gator!

Voters love the Mud Fish Pokemon for nostalgia from Emerald being the early games for some and was also the first starter choice. A solid choice too because it is powerful with its strength, great typing, and its bulk, which has also spammed Mud Shot its way through playthroughs for one. Its great design certainly helps as well!

As a valuable member of many Sinnoh teams, namely Platinum and Flawless Platinum, this Flame Pokemon will be remembered for its strength, speed, and its cool design as it's based off mythology and not looking overly humanoid compared to the older Fire/Fighting type Blaziken. Its appearance in the anime has helped one voter love it as well.

PokeCommunity's overall favourite Pokemon is the Mach Pokemon Garchomp! This Pokemon will be remembered as valuable member of one voter's Platinum team as well as one voter catching a Gible after encountering Cynthia's Garchomp for the first time, which made it as their favourite pseudo-legendary. This Pokemon is well known for its power in battle with its strength, speed, bulk, good typing, and diverse movepool with the bonus a fierce, cool design of combining a shark, airplane, and dragon.




And what's a wrap! This was definitely an ambitious event and I thank you all for dedicating your time to send me in lists to make this event all the possible! I also enjoyed reading all your descriptions as well as see what the community's personal tastes are. Additionally, I thank Dakota for helping me out with the CSS as it was all done beautifully! <3 The next favourite Pokemon event will be smaller so I hope you will look forward to it as well!

Misjudged this community's favorites by a longshot. No eeveelutions? Venusaur and Wartortle in the top 50, but not Charizard and Blastoise? Showed a lot of love to starter lines in general too. Consisted of 12/50 places (Sceptile, Venusaur, Incineroar, Tototile, Typhlosion, Rowlet, Wartortle, Primarina, Greninja, Feraligatr, Swampert, and Infernape).

Seeing Salazzle on the list is quite surprising, when I think of that pokemon in my time playing sun, all I remember is pure frustration..

the difficulty in getting one that can evolve into it, its near useless signature move, or as it the ability?

And then just how often the dang thing died.


I love Golisopod though.


*whistle* that top 5 is nice, and would make an epic team as well.

Is not surprised by Garchomp. Fared well in other polls. Mentioned a Google and Reddit poll earlier. Grabbed information from both.

Ought to learn CSS sometime. Could be much prettier. Used it a little before, but not much. Did not know how to transfer the information from a spreadsheet nicely.
