You can receive Squirtle as a post-game gift pokemon. Mudkip is on route 46, but very rare. Mudkip does swarm, but that only happens after beating the elite four.

So another thing, the inventory is too small with the new items, and so is the player's item PC, and because of that, when both are filled, the items are destroyed instead of being looted, including fossils and rare unique items

Firstly, I'd make the bag/PC inventory bigger, and also, it's always useful with how many there are, putting the fossils as key items (like the root and claw fossils are in emerald), you'd basically get ... 8? free bag space (and also the assurance that they won't be destroyed).
Also probably, something that doesn't allow you to pick items when the bag and the PC are full, but that might be hard-coded in the game and kinda impossible to do

That sounds like a glitch, Lugia should be right in front of the waterfall. All you should need is dive.


Kanto is not in the game, I just made the pathway on the town map for accuracy.
You can buy every TM at the festival in Lazulan post-game. I considered making TMs reusable, but I like the challenge of being forced to use them wisely.


Well, lucky for you, they both are in fact in the game!
Mawile is in Union cave (rare), and in the Safari Zone bottom left section (with all of the other steel types, and less rare).
Glaceon can be evolved from Eevee using either an Ice Stone, or next to the Ice Rock in Ice Path (where you first meet Winter).

thats a big ouch for the Bulbasaur line as Earth Power is a big part of its of its set these days but thankfully hiddenpower allows yo to check its type when you try teaching it to something. I can make due I suppose.

Good idea with the fossils and rare items, that should be easy to change.
You can expand the bag to hold 320 items, but it uses a lot of save data. I was hoping sending them to the PC would be good enough, and I don't think I ran out of room myself.

G-Linoone: Level up to 35 at night (after 6pm)
Haunter: Use a Trade Stone
Magneton: Use a Thunder Stone

You'll have to be more specific. Are you able to go to Ice Path yet or are people blocking the route? Did you defeat the Mahogany gym leader?

VIMAJEAL, you will have to complete the events in Kizu Forest first. That's to the left of Olivine City, on the way to the Safari Zone, through the cut trees.
If the shrine isn't there yet, you'll have to get the Cianwood gym badge first.

I don't know if gameshark codes work on decomp games, since the data is in a different order. I haven't tried it.

I mistakenly played 1.0 cause I thought that was the most updated version until I reached the Oliver bug. Just downloaded and patched a raw emerald file for version 1.1. my question is, is it possible to use my 1.0 file for the 1.1 update? If so, how should I do this?

At first look this hack looks great! Haven't played through it yet, I just found it through some YouTube videos. I'll get more feedback and any bugs if I find, and get back. Quick question. It's more of an esthetic thing but are you planning to de-capitalize the game. I've gotten too used to that with modern games and other hacks, haha... 😜

1.0 was the initial release, you're always taking a risk with the initial release. Although I played through the game myself 3 times, and had no issues, with hundreds of people playing, you're much more likely to find any bugs I missed.
I think the save file should work with the new patch, I didn't change flags or anything. Just keep your old .sav file, and replace your 1.0 rom for the 1.1 rom.
If you want to avoid the Oliver bug in the 1.0 patch, you just have to speak to him from the left or right side so he doesn't "see" you when you drop through the floor.

I kept a sort of mix of caps and de-caps. Things like names and signs are caps to stand out more. I don't plan on changing it.
