[Completed] Pokémon Empyrean [v1.1] (~! Final Arc Released !~)

That's a very nice idea actually, as it would prevent the problem of someone accidentally overleveling, while still keeping a (soft) level cap. I'll think about it, and see if maybe this could replace the obedience system in a future version :)

For tagging out, that's true, it would increase grinding by a significant amount, so I think I'll just stick to not making the game too difficult that it would require such a system to be implemented. Or if I do decide to have tagging out an option, perhaps a limit of 1 pokemon that can be tagged out will be OK.

Thanks for your input! :)

hey stoch! <3 so I'd like to put in my 2 cents in this.

during the time i've been playing, i follow my typical style of play: i build a team focused on eliminating core weaknesses in the team and level each pokemon up by 5 before i switch to the next. while it has been somewhat of a slow progress, i think what you've been doing is fine. while there have been cases where my pokemon accidentally over leveled, the inclusion of the -1 level candies really helps. honestly the only complaint i have towards the leveling is the cost of the candies themselves, considering the amount of money we get in general combined with the leveling we do; it ends up feeling like we're being punished for overleveling by spending so much. Yes, it's not a lot of money at first, but then you arrive at the one city (forgot it's name lol) where you get charged 600 just to heal when it'd normally be free! As someone who levels the way i do, my pokemon sometimes end up taking some licks and needing heals, only for me to basically lose all my money and not even being able to level down some that leveled up to fast. idk if that's just something i deal with or not, but it's honestly not that big of an issue per say. idk maybe reduce the cost to the candies themselves so we don't feel like we're punishing ourselves so hard over a single over level...

hey! :D
I see, yes, Empral Town does drain your money fast if you train around that area a lot :) Since the candies are already only $100, I don't know, maybe I can set their price to $50.. but I might try implementing the diminishing EXP system in v0.6 instead, where you start to get a lot less EXP as you level up more and more from the current maximum (obedience) level cap, as it seems like it could elegantly solve overleveling.

i mean if you do the less exp with level up i think that'll be better over the $50 price tag.

v0.6 looks awesome! Can't wait!

I'm trying to catch all the Omuran regional variants and I think there's one in Flowery Path in the honey trees, but I don't know what the encounter rates for the honey trees are. Would it be possible for you to add those encounters to the encounter list on pastebin?

Also, since you've added a Mega Stone list, would it be possible to have an "available TM" list as well? Hopefully the Dazzling Gleam TM is coming soon :D

Hey, thanks! :)
I've updated the thread with TMs locations, and now that you asked for it, I'll add Dazzling Gleam to v0.6 :)

For Honey Tree encounters, it's a bit harder to calculate probabilities, but here's the list of Pokemon available:
Spoiler:

There aren't any Omuran forms there, but let me know which one are you looking for and I'll check if the current encounters are correct and where that one is in the game.

Thanks for the TM list! During my playthrough I didn't find TM06 and TM36 in Sylen Underground but I do have TM17, TM27, TM46, which aren't listed, though I forgot where I got those.

I noted in the original post there are evolution requirements of fakemon/Omuran forms, which list Riolu and Teddiursa, so I assumed that the "rare Pokemon" on Flowery Path was an Omuran form, but I don't know where to find them :p

Also how can I evolve my Eevee into Sylveon? It doesn't learn any Fairy moves by level up normally (Charm is listed as Normal-type) and there doesn't seem to be an affection mechanism in-game.

Whoops, looks like I didn't document locations of those TMs either. I know where the Thief one is but for others I'll leave it a mystery :D

Ah, for the Riolu and Teddiursa forms, sorry for the confusion. I forgot to emphasize that they are coming in v0.6.

I've added Sylveon now in v0.6. You can get it by leveling up Eevee with high Happiness, while it knows a Fairy move (I've made it so that Eevee can learn Dazzling Gleam TM).

Speaking of which, v0.6 is out! *fanfares* It might contain bugs, so anyone playing, make sure you save often and report anything strange you find! :)

v0.6 changelog:
* New areas: Route 107, Skaters Den, Naraku Village (6th gym), Naraku Forest, Cycling Highway
* Ash-Greninja and New Mega Evolutions for Infernape, Delphox, Primarina, Incineroar and Decidueye
* New Omuran Forms for Riolu, Smeargle, Lucario, Teddiursa, Ursaring, and a new Pelipper evolution
* Wisblind Evolution -- Wiseraph
* Soft Level Cap introduced instead of Obedience
* Gen 1-5 Fairy Pokemon movesets fixed to have Fairy moves
* New Elemental Shields Items
* New EXP Turbo Item

Woo! Hype! Thanks for all your hard work Stochastic! I'll make sure to document any bugs I find and report them.

Oh also, is there an quicksave function in this game? I thought i remembered having one but that might've been a different game. If there was one, i'm not able to use it anymore.

Thaaanks! :D Enjoy!

Edit: There is no autosave option currently, but there is a quicksave shortcut -- Ctrl+S

Thanks for reminding me! Also, idk if this is on purpose or not but I don't think mimikyu's disguise ability is implemented yet.
Secondly, one of the trampolines in the forest can be attached while facing backwards
That's all for now.

I was wondering if I could ask if OM_Lucario has a second type and what it would be because with riolu being a friendship evo I kinda want to know if he would be a good fit for the team I have already so I dont have to go crazy trying to get his friendship up only to have to put him in the box

Hey! just want to say i love this game so far!! i do have a question about shinies!! Do they have anything extra special about them other that normal shinyness? also what are the rates? i found a shiny pikipek while training! (not my favorite pokemon...but its a shiny so i might as well use it i suppose) do you have any plans for shiny hunting? thank you for your time!

oh another thing, are the ground shinx only found with rivalry? ive caught so many and havent gotten a diff ability? if so does it change later on?

OM Lucario has Normal/Steel typing

Yep, disguise ability isn't implemented yet. Will add it to the patch.

Hey, thanks! <3 For now, there's nothing extra special about shinies except their shinyness. The rate is 1 in 256. I have no plans for shiny hunting at the moment since the rate is high as is, but I'll consider it for a future version :)

OM Shinx has Lightningrod as its second ability, and Fur Coat as hidden ability (which you can activate with a Dream Candy)

When you try to pick up the mega stone at precipice cape, an error occurs and the game crashes.

:O thanks for that report, I'll have to patch that immediately. Or perhaps, since you're close to the end I'll wait to see if there are any other critical things to fix.

oh awesome thanks!! where do i get the dream candy? cause rivalry is awful DX but ive already been raising him

There's one in Dooriver City:

If you can't find that one, the next one is in Flowery Path:

I'm stuck in the Ice Challenge in Mt Mesmer 7F, I've got one of the ice blocks down the hole but from the placement of the other three I'm completely stuck on how to get another one down to progress through the cave! Don't want to post any images due to spoilers, can anyone help?

Other than that fantastic game so far, absolutely loving it. Found the Electric gym the toughest so far, but absolutely loving the challenging content at times. Finally a decent game that's actually making me stick to it!
