hey guys I'm hunting for a shiny victini (legendary) I was wondering does it work if I save a save state in desmume and reload the save state? I know soft reset works but I'm not too sure about save states.. Does the pokemon reload in a save state case. I want to cut out the start screen time but if it doesn't work I'm gonna stick with soft reset.
 
Couldn't you just save normally, open Pokesav, select the save file (not state) and edit it? Unless you're going for legitimate shinies, cos I know with some legends the shininess stat is set much earlier on.

Yeah I'm going for a legitimate shiny. Could you tell me when this shininess stat is set?

I did experiment catching the Victinys in 2 different soft-resets and their stats were different so that led me to believe I can eventually get a shiny if I save right before the point at which the "stats" are set.

From Mastermind X: The save process now runs through flawlessly using a 12-lines-AR-code. However no$ doesn't write the save file, it just stores the new data internally... It's time to get my fingers on the no$-executable...

If he doesn't do something this is the end of us!!!

Doesn't or didn't? And where are you getting this info?
 
Hey guys I need some help with Pokemon White. I tried to get it to work on my R4i Gold, and by downloading the 1.35 firmware, it works. But I wanted to transfer my dsv file from DesMume to my R4i. I can easily do it if it was a sav. file from No$gba but its not. I have a Save Type Converter but it says there is an error when I try to convert the dsv. file.=( Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.
 
I got everything to work, the only problem for me, is the speed of the emulation. Its the worse form of lagging. is there something on my control panels that i can fix, or from my laptop itself? delete something add something? i unno anyone?
 
Are there any Exp Patches? I found an English Patch Rom and it Runs great on my R4 with Wood R4 v1.12 Software, except that there's no Exp gain, and I don't want to use pokesav to level up my pokemon, though if I have to I could use it to get lots of Rare Candies. I would prefer not to though.
 
To save on an R4 or otherwise, use Rudolph's Child's Play patch (updated) on GBATemp.
Union Room has not been modded to work yet.
To boost speed, peruse the DeSMuMe FAQ available on the internet in a form of a wiki.

reset the game and save state in no$zoomer

then load state the game will reset again and you can see the game saved.

get gamebooster, shut down lime wire watever you have on your task bar, switch the softrasterizer option to open gl(if you have a fairly good gfx card this will increas performance by a lot), if you dont mind a bit of skipping turn the frame skip to 1 if its still laggin bad turn it to 2 or 3, ummmmm if it still lags and you know a bit of advance computing oc your system (warning this is at your own risk) if not get a new computer lol.

The codes do work for White: I can play it on No$Zoomer and save; however, I never make it past the battle with Bel as it keeps crashing by the second turn :'(
