3rd Gen It was like a dream

    I had just gotten pkmn ruby! I was an excited newbie. After meeting up with wally in game i walked in the grass at the side of petalburg and I swear to god I found a pidgey. At the time i let it go becus I thought they were common in-game. It was only later that i sweared out loud cus I found out it was "uncatchable". Then I started to die inside... slowly
     
    Are you sure it was a pidgey? Perhaps one of the others have heard of a glitch like this, but I'm astounded. And to think you failed to catch it...
     
    o_O That is a weird glitch. I wonder what would have hapened if you'd tried to catch it XD
     
    Show us a pic of your pokedex with the seen Pidgey. But FR/LG can trade with R/S without anything needed to be done on R/S so Im suspicious about that.
     
    i think it might've been because when they were making the games they put pidgey as a catchable pokemon but then removed it, and maybe yours was untouched or something

    didn't something like this happen except with a charmander?
     
    I kno my sapphire likes to freeze rather easily compared to my other GBA games, including FR, but Ive never had any strange glitches like those mentioned here. I am thinking of restarting soon so I might try and recreate some of them then.

    if it WAS a Pidgey with no cheating devices.... O.o weird.
     
    This is a very odd glitch!Too bad you didn't know.cause it's like finding a shiny Rayquaza, probably even higher.Sorry About that!Maybe it'll happen again.
     
    That is very weird.Last time something like that happened I found Tyranitar in the grass (I deleted it because I knew you can't catch tyranitar and I thought something was wrong with the file.It was when I was 7.Surprising..very surprising that someone caught a pidgey in Ruby).
     
    Hmm, where did you get this Ruby game? If you got it offline, then it could've been tampered with, and had cheating devices used on it at one time. If you just got it from the store, then I don't think it was a Pidgey. I don't believe some people when they say that someone got a "rare, untouched" game. It just means that someone messed it up when making it, or someone messed it up with a cheating device. :P

    I'm with teh Drat on this one. Maybe it really WAS a dream XD.
     
    Or just a hoax to get us all laughing XD
     
    Let's not forget that coruption of games can happen in the indestrial process. Just one chip not properly inserted, or one loose bit of wiring could affect the entire game. Although... are you sure you haven't cheated? XD
     
    to tell da truth, yea i have messed wit it using gamehsark. But like I said, that happened when I had just gotten pkmn ruby, that was b4 i ever tampered with de game.
