How does poliwrath eat?

    Poliwrath is one of my favorite pokemon and i could never figure out how he eats!
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!

    im guessing its mouth is right along the top of its belly, its just always closed in the sprites. and another thing wheres hitmonlees mouth?? lol
     
    Many pokemon don't have mouths, so my theory is that pokemon don't need to eat to survive, and the ones who do eat only eat for pleasure, if that makes sense.

    Perhaps it's not the best idea but it helps explains things for me, and whenever I'm writing a story involving pokemon I pretty much have to come up with all of the wacky explanations so it makes sense. :P

    I believe that they have a mouth, it is just closed. They make sounds don't they?
     
    It probably does need to eat to get energy, seeing as it is based on a real animal and not just a lump of rock. My guess is that it eats using the middle of its spiral; that's where the water for its water attacks come from, right? That proves that there is an opening in the middle of the spiral, so it probably uses that.

    Sounds? All you need is air and a butt to make those.
     
    I just believe that their mouth is closed, but exists.

    This works for me because when I sometimes make animations of pokemon singing (i kno im weird) if there wasn't a mouth it would look like they were standing there listening to music.
     
    If it has vocal chords, had a prevolution with a mouth, and has to eat to live, then it has mouth hidden somewhere.

    Seriously, it's not that complex. Don't think too hard. :\

    Just like Nokocchi/Dunsparce, it probably has a mouth that you can't see. < /buzz-kill >
     
    i think i would have a hidden mouth but if not it would probably Absorb its food from the air and/or water
     
    An interesting question. I always get baffled on how I'd feed my Hitmonlee with toughness pokeblocks when it doesn't even have a freaking mouth...
    Maybe they're hidden in some way?
