I was told to get a Lucky Egg because it gave you more experience. Honestly I don't see difference between that and the exp. share. Am I doing something wrong?

Hm? Exp. Share? Are you using Lucky Egg on one and Exp. Share on the other? If so, the Exp. Sharing one won't feel the effects of the Lucky Egg, and it would still get the normally cut amount of Exp.

Lucky Egg gives you more experience for one Pokemon. I do believe the Exp. Share splits the experience gained between the Pokémon battling and the Pokémon holding the Exp. Share.

    EXP Share shares your EXP.

Lucky Egg increases the EXP you get by 1.5x

In a guide to training your pokemon I read that the lucky egg was better but I don't see a difference between the two. I was just wondering if I was using the lucky egg right and if I am why is it so worth it to find a lucky egg?. And no I'm not using them at the same time.

Well, as my predecessors have said here, the Lucky Egg is given to the Pokemon battling, and gives it a 50% increase in exp. gained.

The Exp. Share, on the other hand, is given to a Pokemon that isn't battling, and gives 1/2 of the experience of the battler to the Pokemon in the party holding exp. share.

Now what I think that you may be talking about is switching out the first Pokemon in your party holding an Exp. Share with another from your party during battle, and in that case the first Pokemon would gain 75% of the experience of the battle.

Hope that that answers your question.

exp share lets u tarin two pokes at once. The lucky egg doubles the experience you get in battle. So if someone is holding a lucky egg and is not sent into battle it doesn't get the exp.
