4th Gen About The Fossil In Platinum...

I was told that in Platinum that the Fossils you get depends on your Trainer ID's last digit. I didn't know that at all and I'm near completion of Platinum and I just recently got the Secret Key. Now I can't get Skull Fossil.

They seriously should give the players a choice at the beginning or something in the games. Who here also got tricked like this as well?

...You have a Friend Code in your signature, so you clearly have access to Wi-Fi. So, exactly what is the problem with simply trading for it?

Honestly, several players can go through the entire game without once accessing the Underground, and instead opt to trade for the fossils, so I fail to see this as much of a problem. If anything, it should really be expected, as trading is going to be required one way or another.

Lets see here, I can trade for one but I will dig up alot of fossils that I will never ever use and will pile up in my bag forever because the Pokemon made from the Armor Fossil is one of the most useless Pokemon ever. I seriously prefer that it is made available in the game rather than just depend on another game. I mean, in Emerald, you can choose between the fossils but now you can't and this is the most or one of the most retarded things that happen in any of the main series Pokemon games.

Plus I don't like trading, it's the same reason why I don't trade cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Think about it, if you ask someone to trade you something, they expect something as good or better in return, unless the trader you're asking is some dumb kid who doesn't know the value of the things they're trading off, which is how my friend got so many good cards and traded off crap cards to a kid.

...Then stay out of the Underground? If you are so worried about digging up so many "worthless" fossils, then never try to dig.

Besides, Armor Fossils would be perfect to trade for Skull Fossils, for the same reason that you are complaining about.

Ummm.... deal with it? You can trade, it's not that big of a deal. Also, all those fossils will only take up one space in your bag. They stack. 1 space ≠

Those fossils sell for some decent spheres Underground. Also, they sell for

1000 each so that's easy to get rid of them that way too.

If you don't like trading, then you'll need a lot of luck completing your Pokedex. Soooooo much luck, that the "soooooo" that I put before it would actually be longer than PC's character limit.

Wow you were given a lot of bull. You can find all of the fossils in Platinum. How do I know this? Well because I found them all, and most of the big sites will back this up.

NO! Underground is fun! It's just that Armor Fossil is my most or one of my most hated items of all. It's my most hated fossil though.

I got this information from the Quick Questions & Answers Thread (posted by jpp8) and also on Bulbapedia. Even Serebii.net said the same thing. I really liked to see if you can show me the big sites that you said that can 'back this up'.

Also, quick question to the OP: Would you be complaining about this if you had the right ID number?

Are you asking me? Well, most likely not but it's still a very stupid thing for the Game Designers to do though. It's like how Microsoft made Halo 2 playable on PC only if the PC have Vista as the OS.

I wish I knew. I prefer Bastiodon over Rampardos. (Cranidos is annoying to train when I do it. I had so many that I had to release them all.) I already have Diamond, but not Pearl. People over wifi don't make good requests. (They all ask for legendaries.) I wish I knew so I could have gotten a Shieldon instead of Cranidos. :(

Greene1516 said that it's possible to get all different types of fossils by digging underground in Platinum and he said that most of the 'big sites' that back this up. But apparently 2 big sites, Bulbapedia and Serebii.net said that you can only get one or the other fossil depending on your Trainer ID's last number. Greene1516 has yet to show any 'big sites' that says you can get 'all' fossils in Platinum without trading. When I PMed him on how he obtain all fossils, he never answered back.

"Badly ruined"? I think you're overreacting a little, it's not that big of a deal in the long run. Me, for example, I'm going to start Platinum next week. I'd really like to use Bastiodon, but if I can't get one, I'll just use something different. I'll be a little disappointed, but I won't let it ruin my life...

I actually never knew this until now...weird. I did notice that it was hard to find the one fossil, but I had thought I was just unlucky...
