[Pokémon] 🕷️🪲Ariados's Web☠️🟣: The Bug and Poison type club!

If you could have one poison type and one bug type as a house pet, what would it be?

For actual pets I could actually keep in the house and realistically take care of (for example keeping a Crustle inside the house as a pet would probably be hard)...
... I'd probably go with Ribombee for Bug. It's small, only 20 cms! It's pollen puffs sound very useful to. Tired? Just let it pollen puff you and become energetic again =D
For Poison I'd go with... well I was thinking one of the Nidorans, but accidentally getting poisoned when you touch it or are hugging it seems far too likely to happen. Skrelp seems like something I could actually keep, like in a fish tank or something.

If we're just talking whatever you want and I don't need to keep it realistic then I'm going with Pheromosa and Salazzle though =3

Nice, Poison-type club! Let me join!

What type do you prefer, Bug or Poison?
Poison

What's your favorite Bug type?
Heracross as a cool bug and Snom as a cute bug.

What's your favorite Bug?
Computer bugs... does it count?

What's your favorite Poison Type?
Nidoqueen. Female Nidoran was my very first caught Pokémon and I love this whole line. But I also have a soft spot for trash-themed Poison-types like Trubish, Weezing or Muk.

What's your favorite venomous creature?
Jellyfishes

Pokes in here for Gifts of Surprise 2024. Wonder Traded 30 Pokemon using Pokemon Home. Split it into two batches of 15. Blames an Alolan Rattata and Spinda being stuck in there for not doing a simpler full box of 30. Ignore them in these screenshots.

Sent out only Poison types because of not having any particularly special Bugs to breed.
  • 12 Alolan Grimers: Minimum 5 perfect IVs with the hidden ability (Power of Alchemy) in a Level Ball. Probably Impish nature.
  • 3 Galarian Slowbros: Minimum 5 perfect IVs with the Quick Draw ability in a Love Ball. Had a Relaxed nature.
  • 9 Sneaslers: Minimum 5 perfect IVs in a Moon Ball. Adamant nature. Leveled them to 7, purely to evolve.
  • 6 Bulbasaurs: Minimum 5 perfect IVs with the Chlorophyll ability in a Friend Ball. Probably Modest nature.

Spoiler: Starting Box Screenshots

The important result: 4 Bug or Poison types (Vivillon (Fancy Pattern), Illumise, Cutiefly, Wurmple). No special Tera types.

Other things of note: Arrokuda in a Safari Ball. Did not look too close at any IVs. Got 3 Ice types. Expects to get shut out on Ice types when Wonder Trading for that type. Had pretty good numbers for every participating club, actually: 5 Ice or Ghost types, 2 Psychic types (better than the official 1), and 5 Dragon or Steel types.

I seem to have been in here before but somehow didn't think to join. >.> Consider this Fox lover signed on lol. :p

What type do you prefer, Bug or Poison?
Bug! (though my personal favorite type is Dark)

What's your favorite Bug type?
Extremely tough question. I don't think I have a true favorite to be honest, but I have (thanks to some help) every single Vivillon pattern in my Violet game, so I'll highlight Vivillon! ^^

What's your favorite Bug?
I LOVE butterflies and moths especially, but I also really like spiders and bees.

What's your favorite Poison Type?
Lots of fantastic Poison types too... >.> Technically it would be the GUN Pokemon, :eternatus: but I honestly can't say it's cause of it's typing. (in fact, I'd rather it didn't have Poison as a second typing... >.>) So I think a more 'proper' choice is Toxapex! (Mareanie as well ^^) I had one in one of my runs of Scarlet and LOVED her <3 (especially when she broke reality and showed up outsider her Pokeball during certain cutscenes LMAO XD)

What's your favorite venomous creature?
(Note: DO NOT look up if there are any poisoness Foxes... >.> faith in humanity -10) Would probably be snakes! ^^

Do you guys have any favorite poison or bug moves?
Bug:
Signal Beam (always beautiful to look at and does decent damage)
U-turn (LMAO this one's so fun)
X-Scissor (I have it on my Absols, what more need I say? :p)

Poison:
Toxic (the classic)
Venoshock (the finisher)
Toxic Spikes (the [REDACTED] you to the whole enemy team lol)

What is everyone's favorite Bug shiny, and what's your favorite Poison shiny?
Another really tough question... A lot of them have really cool shinies, like Vikavolt, Beedrill, Scizor... (I like green and white shinies, okay? sheesh) But I honestly think my favorite one is once again Vivillon. In fact, during another of my Scarlet runs, I found a shiny Scatterbug extremely early, and completely shifted the team I was planning to make for that run around to make permanent room for him. ^^ And after that run, I started to collect the other patterns, so I really can't not give it the win. :p Now, if you're wondering which pattern has my favorite shiny look, (even though I sadly don'thave any others besides the base SV one in a shiny) I'd absolutely say Tundra!:

:vivillon-tundra:
[PokeCommunity.com] 🕷️🪲Ariados's Web☠️🟣: The Bug and Poison type club!

It reminds me a ton of the old N64 era snow levels in games like Star Wars Racer and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. I just love it! ^^

As for Poison, there are some nice looking shinies of those too, though it's not as wide of a selection for me in terms of favorite recolors of those. I'll go with (okay, the recolor of Naganadel looks absolutely incredible and I'm stunned I've never noticed it before my goodness! 0_0 buuut...) Crobat!:
:crobat:
[PokeCommunity.com] 🕷️🪲Ariados's Web☠️🟣: The Bug and Poison type club!

I also love pink shinies! ^^ (says the person who played all the way through VC Crystal just to get pink Celebi lol :p)

If you could have one poison type and one bug type as a house pet, what would it be?

Hmmm. Probably Either Swadloon (though I highly doubt it'd stay that way since it's a friendship evolver, Leavanny's cool too at least) or Ribombee for Bug.

And honestly I don't think I can safely keep any Poison types as 'housepets'. It's the same reason that I love Umbreon, but I'm not sure if I'd ever consider keeping one (if Pokemon were real) cause of it's poisoness sweat.

Here's my pictures for the Surprise Trade event:
[PokeCommunity.com] 🕷️🪲Ariados's Web☠️🟣: The Bug and Poison type club!
I went with all Bugs for this event, all in specifically chosen balls that fit their colors well. Each one has a mark and was nicknameless to hopefully make them more special to anyon that got one, and they each held a treasure item as a bonus gift! :p

Now, for what I got back... Sadly 9 of the total 30 were [BLANK].com/shop/BS hacked trash. I was especially dissapointed by that more than anything. I expected a lot of zone one Pokemon like Lechonk, but this... >.> (I moved all the hacks to the right side of the box, the only one of those 10 that's not very obviously hacked is the Inkay)
I only got 3 total points from this, and one I almost don't want to accept simply because of the sorce... >.> But there's not a rule I know of that lets you reroll hacked mons, so there it is.
(The Clodsire near the bottom-left is Tera Bug, I forgot about the Tera type thing when taking the pic, so if an event runner wants to call me on it I'd be happy to trade it to you to confirm)

I'm not gonna fuss over 1 single Tera mon... especially when it counts already for the other type in this team: Poison.
Are you just counting the Bug types? You do not need to send out both types in the team for the ones you receive back to count.

I count 6:
1) Clodsire #1 counts for Poison
2) Scizor counts for Bug
3) Gengar counts for Poison.
4) Clodsire #2 counts for Poison.
5) Venonat counts for either, but let's say Bug since primary typing.
6) Skrelp counts for Poison.

6 is quite the haul. Most I've gotten so far is 3 =P

I've been wondering if I should do some sort of exception rule for website generated stuff you end up with. I could add one in the next edition.
Received roughly half a box of the dang things myself over 2 boxes I've sent out so far.

I wasn't positive about how the rules on that worked, but if it's acceptable, then I'll go with that.

GROSS. And I'd certainly be for it. They're starting to become a plague... >.>

Sent out 15 5IV Adamant Kleavor, with the egg move Night Slash and half of which had the HA Sharpness. Made sure their attack had a Best.
Didn't notice until after sending them to PLA to evolve them that my source Kleavor from a 6 star raid even had the HA... Already evolved them and didn't have time to stock up on Black Augurite a 2nd time.

Also sent out 15 5IV Rash Glimmets. Made sure the Sp. Attack IV had a Best.

Spoiler:

Received a Bug Tera Wiglett and a Shroodle back:
Spoiler:

Would have scored the best here for the Dragon/Steel team, had this been their box: Pawniard, Flygon, Tatsugiri, Tinkaton.
Would have scored 2 returns for the Ghost/Ice team had this been their box: Golurk & Ceruledge.
Would have scored only 1 return for Psychic: Cresellia (which was a website shiny).

That is stunning. A perfect likeness, will be eye-catching on your desk. Pheromosa always had a great shiny, like it's wearing some styling new black pants from Saks fifth avenue. Love!
