Don't think it's stupid at all; all the RPGs akin to Pokemon I've played cap it at 100. It's kind of a... standard of gaming, I guess?

Yeah it's stupid. They should cap it to 9000. It may be overpowered but at least it's worth a prize for spending too much time in training your beloved Pokemon.

Well yes. If all other trainers has the same level it would not take forever to train. The level is over 9000!

Having a Level Cap at 100 makes it easier for people to EV train and create competative teams. It'd be annoying having your Lv. 100 Pokes up against Lv. 900 Pokes =/

That's insanity, Lv.100 limit is just enough. At least with the current mechanics, if they did power re-dos, then maybe we could have up to Lv.1000. But with the way things are now, I wish to keep the limit and seconded by my left hand.

Level 100 just makes it so much easier...If they could go past that things would start to get insanely powerful, and it would basically break the game. I'd say 100 is fine =P

Imagine if the limit was over 9000, and you trained your Pokémon to level 9000. The next day you turn on your Gameboy/DS to find the internal battery has died. THATS why we have level 100 as the max...

I don't think capping the level of Pokemon at level 100 is stuid because, then then the game at least has an end somewhere...

I hate making mine level 100 as then they cant go any further, I normally stop them at level 95, just so they COULD still level up more if I let them... saying that I have levelled three to 100 in the past 2 days!

imo the cap could be no limit and the EXP needed for the next lvl could be linear as could all the stats that u gain per lvl.

I mean, if I'm going to be battling with it, then yeah, I'll level it up to 100. Why not, eh? But if it's just a contest Pokemon or something, I usually stop at around 50 or so.
