I agree, sometimes the vocals can get distracting from the actual instrumental part of the music, but there's few artists that really capture the kind of stuff you're talking about, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places and need to be pointed in the right direction o: I would consider The 1975 and The XX to be similar to what you're talking about, the latter more than the former. Have you listened to either of them?

They've been more successful on the Alternative Charts in America , but yup, they're still around. You should listen to some of their new singles. Coming of Age and Best Friend. Their new album, Supermodel, is different from what's on their first Torches , but still great imo.

You're lucky. I have to retake an English/writing class and so a good amount of my summer will be sucked up by that till late July. Then I go back for the fall semester on August 18th. ;~;

That's good I'm guessing. My last exams for my first semester at college were about a month ago so I've been enjoying all the free time. Go back in 2 weeks for a summer class though. >_>

For sure, I love going to them. I fall asleep seconds after I get home though, I'm always so tired after such events. That sounds like a lot of fun! The more, the merrier :] So, what kind of music do you like listening to?

Yeah, the tickets are expensive but it's worth it. Lots of drugs too, but if you can avoid them it's such a good time. I would say last year it was one of my favorite weekends :]

Haha, I understand. Austin City Limits! Which I'll be attending again this year. I'm pretty sure Outkast is making a return, and names like Eminem and Lana Del Ray will be there. I'm really excited to see one of the smaller acts, Sam Smith. His voice is something to behold!

Sounds fun! Anyone you're specifically looking forward to?

Wow, sounds mesmerizing! I'm kind of a mellow, calm guy, so if a musical performance can get me riled up, then I know they're quality material, haha. Outkast took everyone by surprise I think, and after the festival, most people I spoke to about it said they wanted them to return for next year's event.

Haha, I see. Now I'm kind of curious, who did you not know before you saw them live, and ended up being blown away? I've had a similar experience with Outkast when attending a music festival last year, because they honestly left me speechless.
