Well, it seems like way more fun to spend a birthday with a good friend and in a different country than hitting up a bar. So it's not so stupid!

Camping is a lot of fun. I recommend you to stop being lazy and actually book something! It's such a nice getaway. :)

At least someone agrees with me in regards to Portugal! It wasn't exactly because of the Portugese people that made me decide to not go, though. haha Everyone just thinks that I turned down a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and that I can pack up and go to BC anytime I want to. I really don't see it that way, though. I'm not really a person who'd like to go on a vacation where all I'd really be able to do (or afford) is to sit on a beach and get burnt.

My trip wouldn't be for my work. It's just something I really want to do, so I am planning it early to make sure I can reserve a spot on the kayaking trip because they fill up pretty quick. I might be going to Whistler afterwards to do some sight-seeing and go mountain biking too, but that I am still deciding on. I had the opportunity to go to Portugal basically for free this summer, but I turned it down so I could save up all my money to go to BC next year. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. XD;

What are you gonna do in California and Vancouver? I'm jealous.
I have no plans for this summer, but next summer I will be going to BC also :) I'm gonna be going on a camping/kayaking trip on Quadra Island on an orca whale reserve.

YEP YOU BET. I'm most likely going to the huge music festival lollapalooza in august (in chicago) and he's playing. so is muse, eminem, one of my favorite bands ever, and a crap load of other people :D :D

Yeah. I may expand upon my education in a few years but for now I just want to work and relax a bit.

Thats a good idea about living in residence or a student house. Commuting definitely isn't ideal. I hope that works out for you.

Yep, I just finished my 50 hour field placement yesterday so now I'm a certified Veterinary Assistant. I start actually getting paid for the work that I do tomorrow. Living with my grandparents was good, better than paying an extra $5000 for residence that's for sure.. Are you commuting still next year, or are you renting a room or something?
