Game Maker Studio 2 has been released, it's great but GML... not so much coming from a guy that loves game maker.

I've used just about every version of RPG Maker, and various other game engines and let me just say that MV > XP any day of the week period.

RM Ace is a bit different, at least from the trial it appears you can create an item the way you want it to work because of the notepad. But with pokemon, you'll always 80% of the time have to script it to the way you want it.
