  • I AM SORRY FOR MY CRAP REPLY TIME.

Are you sentimental yet? Probably not given ^, haha.

Mate we will fight over this there is SO MUCH better pop out there. I actually think Taylor used to be... alright (which is high praise from me given, well, her) before this release. Then again I'm an obligate hipster so whatever this is probably invalid but secretly I don't think it is.

Italy is AMAZING. I'm having the best time out here minus the ridiculous heat (and I'm apparently in the country's coldest city, too!). The people are amazing, the work is great, I'm learning loads of stuff, everything is pretty good. Except the heat. That can go fuck itself. 8D!
mate I'm about to watch that and Fallen Angels hopefully. I absolutely fell in love with Chungking Express. fuck
heh. The feels are mutual. I've got our PMs saved if you want them.

Also sweet collection, although there are some... odd moments (Taylor Swift?). Didn't know that you listened to Jim O'Rourke - have you heard Halfway to a Threeway? It's one of his EPs and probably the most inappropriate thing I've ever heard come out of someone who, in the same year, made an album led by a ridiculously feminist song. If you find the lyrics to the EP's title track you'll see what I mean.
literally I had heard so much crazy shit about that film, got the Criterion yesterday blindly and watched it that night in my pitch-dark basement at 12 in the morning and it was fucking crazy. I told Alex about it and he's downloading it as we speak. I feel like I need another watch to actually take in whatever the fuck it was but all I know is it was beautiful and unnerving at the same time x1000 and that's enough for me to really like it.

okay I gave it a 3.5 but honestly I'm gonna bump it to a 4.5 actually YOLO. the more I think about it the more I love it.
yeah my thing with the Wrens is probably mostly personal association. I wasn't huge on the album either at first, but if it's not your thing it's not your thing I feel that. glad to hear you enjoyed Big Star though! definitely give a listen to their other two studio albums at some point -- the lead singer kinda goes insane and it's interesting to track it over that period: each album becomes gradually more unhinged. they're all incredible, though, imo.
just stumbled upon that vm of yours asking for Record Suggestions. I'm not sure how readily available it is but you should definitely check out the meadowlands by the wrens -- it might be my favorite album of all time but that's probably because of the memories I have associated with it, and it sounds really good loud. any of the velvet underground's first 3 (especially the s/t) are usually around for cheap everywhere, and they also sound great. have you ever listened to big star? all three of their studio albums are fucking amazing, but definitely check out their debut at some point. it is beautiful. that's all I've got for now. happy listening bud
    oh my godddddd

I don't have any recommendations for speakers but WHICH RECORDS HAVE YOU GOT
It's as if you've discovered the secret behind being able to leave pc PC. Tell me everything.

Happy birthday dear fellow. You seem to well under way to fulfilling your journey through the twenties.

And also hi! I seem to remember seeing you around way back before I left, around 2011 or before? Anyway, how's things on your birthday?
