    What is YVD?

YVD (aka Yugioh Virtual Desktop) is a software that allows yugioh players to create decks and duel people online, for free. It is initially used to allow players on communities duel their fellow card fans.

    How does it work?

It's quite easy. First, find the YVD web page (Xerocreative. Google = good, don't ask for exact link) and go to the Downloads Page. It should be simple from there. Download YVD, and unzip it if you chose the zip file. Run it, and you should see some columns and such. There is a blank box, a box with card names, and another box to the right that has the banned list. You can search the cards you want with the search bar and add them to your deck (the blank box) with the buttons towards the bottom).

    No Pictures?

You can get pictures of course. To do this, first go back to Xerocreative's website. Then go to the Downloads page once more. Choose the Image pack, and unzip it when it's done downloading. Then, move all the pack folders to the Image folder in the YVD folder (many folders). It should work then.

    How do I duel?

To duel, you must create an account on Xerocreative's forum. Remember your username. Then, click the yellow duel button in YVD. It should take you to the field. Now, click the Connect button. Click the bar, and choose either one: Server: I'm going to be Host or Client. (ask your foe on the community who should be who). Type in your opponent's username and click "connect" again. A new box should open up asking for a username and password. Enter your Xerocreative account's username and password, and click the buttom below (I believe it says Save/Verify). Then hit exit. To chat with your opponent, use the small box in the bottom right.

    Can I customize my YVD?

Yes. Go to the YVD first page (with the boxes) and go to Settings. It should be fairly simple from there.

    Where do I get it?

As I've mentioned many times before, on Xerocreative's website.

Questions? Comments? Suggestions for the Guide? Comments? Post here! Thanks for reading. This is mainly for the people who have been PMing/VMing me about how to duel online. I hope this helps everyone!

This seems like a great way for us Duelist to have a duel online especially to test out some of our newly constructed decks. Shame for me though as I have no computer anymore :[.

Yay! A nice lil site where duelists can...uh...duel! At least it's free unlike YGO Online...

(Too bad I can't download stuff)

    I've used it with a friend for playing decks we couldn't imagine ever building and it is a reasonably fun experience but the manual work is a slightly overwhelming. There are also some bugs I can't stand. >.>;

I loosely remember playing on this. It's a great tool for those who want to test their decks online, and I highly recommend it.

My time is GMT -5 (Toronto, though we have DST at the moment so...)

    Here's a handy-dandy utility to check times.

    Where do you live?

In Austin, but I'm currently on vacation in Europe (Turkey to be specific, so yeah). I'll be online throughout the likes of today and tomorrow, so when both of us are online at the same time we'll work something out. :3

Thanks for the comments everyone, and Zeffy, I really think that another thread is unnesescary, simply because this thread can also be used to organize duels between members. Why create a new thread?

You know, for more organization. I although, I already find this thread suitable for that.

If anyone wants to duel me, I'll bo on during Fridays UTC + 8. :)
    No OTK/FTK because that's no fun. :(

I remember using this a few years ago. The game seems to have changed since I last played, but when I get a chance to, I'll download this. If you'd like to duel me, just lemme know & I'll be happy to arrange a date & time to duel you~

I'll probably post again in this thread to let you guys know that I've downloaded it and when I have my deck made.
