    Greetings, It is i, Jiggykoopbob.

When i recently was getting to know the Pokémon franchise more, I discovered a lot more games of said franchise via the official website and Bulbapedia. But i would have expected there to be at least one Pokémon game that would have been some sort of financial flop because it was considered to be a big disappointment for one reason or another. From what i have seen to far, i don't think there has ever been a Pokémon game that was universally criticised like that.

Seeing that Pokémon is probably one of the most successful media franchises out there, It would do almost no damage to their in-come or whatever.

Pokemon Crystal sold the worst of any main series game. But, no main series game has ever "flopped" per se. Almost every single Pokemon game has sold at least a million copies.

looking it up on the Pokemon Wikia, it would seem the game that sold the least amount of copies is Pokemon Channel and Pokemon Rumble (Wii Ware) which for that one, is understandable. Pokemon Rumble was a Wii Ware game, and I doubt anyone ever cared to buy those. Now you can't buy them at all, for any reason.

Despite that, Pokemon Rumble still got many games after it, and is probably not dead, despite the original wii ware title only selling 0.15 copies.

Main series-wise, yeah, none sold little enough to be called a flop - even the worst-selling main series game still sold millions, which is an outcome most other publishers would beg for.

Seeing Channel mentioned for low spinoff sales and I definitely see that. I hardly heard a thing about that game and still don't even really know what it's supposed to be about.. :x

^ wait what?? sword and shield are the third best selling pokemon titles with the potential to surpass gsc, there's no way they're poor selling by any stretch. did you read the thread title?

if one were to ask me what would be "poor" selling games, it'd probably be ones that tpc didn't really bother remaking or remastering/porting over. pokemon colosseum/XD game to mind, but even according to their wiki pages, they were a success anyway, which sort of brings up the question of why tpc pretends they no longer exist.

the pokemon trading card game for the nintendo game boy wasnt that big of a seller

out of core games, I suspect it's one of the "third games". judging by the fact I myself don't really plan on buying Yellow, Crystal etc. spinoffs? maybe Rumble?

Out of the core games it was Emerald, "only" selling 6.32 million copies (Crystal sold 6.39 million) ... that said, both Gold and Silver, and Ruby and Sapphire did very well in sales so the poor sales are somewhat expected (they're expected in general, but in those generations, even more so).

Apparently Pokémon Channel only sold 66 thousand copies in Japan on its release year which is ... very, very bad by Pokemon standards. If it isn't that, I'd wager something like My Pokemon Ranch or Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire being the least selling game, since they're essentially early versions of Pokémon Home, but that depend on you having a different console to be useful.
