[Other] Will Cheat Codes work on Hacked Roms?

Sorry, I don't know whether I'm allowed to ask this here or not, but I really want to know if cheat codes will work on a Hacked Rom, the same way they do on a normal Rom. I mean can I use FireRed cheat codes on a FireRed Hack or Emerald cheat codes on a Emerald Hack etc.?

It really depends on the kind of cheat codes and the changes that the hack has made. Hacks that have messed with the way the memory works will tend to be less receptive to cheat codes than the vanilla ROMs. For example, hacks that have expanded the number of Pokemon will probably not work with a "all Pokemon obtained" code. On the other hand, 99.9% hacks likely haven't changed the way that movement is handled, so a walk through walls code would probably still work.

Well I was just asking in General. I myself don't use too many codes, coz they tend to mess up the game sometimes.

Okay, say a Hack has changed Treecko to Turtwig, so will using the Wild Pokemon Modifier for Treecko, give me Turtwig?

so what about something like a more exp cheat for pokemon ultra violet? would i still need the "master cheat"? also i tryed useing a shiny cheat but it did not work (maybe cause there is a thing in game that makes the next pokemon 100% shiny)

Why wouldn't it? Those cheat codes go based on the ID slot of the Pokémon, so I don't see why that's even a question tbh
