[Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl] Will bdsp ever be competitive?

    So this has been bugging me for a good while is bdsp ever going to be competitive like sword and shield? Honestly this game would sky rocket if we had the same battle system as sword and shield
     
    We already do have the Smogon tiers n stuff, but I think people don't like the fact that the new held items just aren't here. We get some of the team making items like mints, but team building is just harder to do than in SwSh. A lot of people really like the old gen 4 metagame though, so I think people would like a more modern version of it. I don't see many people focusing on BDSP with Legends Arceus coming out, the talk of gen 9, and gen 8's ease of access. It's just straight up less to work with, and I don't think anyone wants to deal with that. I don't really mind it as much cuz I always just go on Showdown when I want to try out some competitive games.
     
    Yeah i guess that makes sense i am just playing shining pearl until arceus comes out as for gen 9 I am always cautious when I hear things like that so for now i am just not getting my hopes to high
     
    Main game? Probably not, Nintendo will still focus on SW/SH. But I'm sure Smogon has a competitive thing going for BDSP.
