[Sword & Shield] wild area help

I am revisiting the wild area. I have the first three gym badges. My pokemon are all level 30-35. I cant catch any of the larger pokemon in the wild area. I have great balls and I get them down very low. Bewear for example has the move where he braces himself. Leaving him with 1HP. Does anyone know why I cant catch these?

As you obtain more gym badges you'll be able to catch Pokémon of higher level. The larger Pokémon are usually higher level and cannot be caught until gym badge requirements are met. If during your wild encounter you see the text 'you've encountered a very strong-looking x!' then you can't catch that Pokémon unless you get more badges. If there is no 'very-strong looking' at the beginning of the encounter, you're good to capture.

If you check your league card/profile, you'll be able to see the max level mons you can capture with the amount of badges you have! With the third badge, you should be able to catch things up to lv. 35.

Yes I do meet those requirements. It seems they put a level cap on capturing pokemon. You cant catch anything higher than the level of your strongest mon

The level cap is based on the number of badges you have, not the level of your highest pokemon.
As stated above, you can only catch pokemon up to Lvl35.
From the way you're describing it, it just looks like you're getting unlucky with your balls.
