Why are vivillon collectors so rude?

Ever since vivillon forms have been released across the world in gen 6 mostly in kalos, but some hoenn enthusiasts also collect vivillon patterns too. Who else is with me that pokemon shouldn't have made like 8 out of 9 of these patterns rare on purpose and let those same people ask for legendaries, myths, or clearly asking for a lvl 100 shiny clearly genned Pokemon on the old gts. Patterns like modern, elegant, polar, high plains and continental get shafted in their exclusivity because they're extremely common. In gen 7 maybe nobody was sure, for one it was transfer exclusive through bank, so the vivillon trading scene was only for people who were able to transfer these cursed butterflies into alola. 2nd the gts was broken by a hacker known as kujira. Luckily in gen 8 there was no crazy trading scene besides people wanting spinda for bdsp and sinisteas authentic seal plus absolutely no vivillon. Home perhaps solved the major issue with form being requested on their gts, so gen 9 and home are the most feasible ways to complete the vivillon forms on the Pokedex, but only for home and paldea. There is probably the furfrou from Pokemon go trims trading scene in home, but I never got into that trading scene. If only these patterns can go back to the 3ds or Pokemon go, it was by far impossible to collect vivillon late in the 3ds and Niantic's life cycle. Don't even get me started on Pokemon go vivillon collectors, I tried to befriend someone from Israel as she has sandstorm postcards, once she found out I was living on a modern (common pattern she didn't need.) she unfriended me on go! I still feel the sting, why are vivillon collectors so mean? Again, I'm not referring to you Alex among foxes, you're a nice person, hope we can still be friends after seeing this post. It's not about you, it's about all those crazy 3ds GTS trade requests when the 3ds online was still kicking, also that tezza who nicknamed his icy snow vivillon offensive nicknames each time he traded and that rude girl from the sandstorm region in Pokemon go. If they release these again in legends 2, I might lose it. Either I'll have to start early on the game and hope 17 new players who collect vivillon trade me their pattern, (really would be disappointed if they take gens 9 approach in getting them through go postcards or home, but home would most likely help.) or hope they don't release vivillon at all for legends Kalos. (Knowing Pokemon though, they'll probably do it and add an extra common form and add 3 rare ones just for the fun of it.)

Okay, sorry, I couldn't resist making a meme lol. I totally understand you weren't talking to me, and never thought that you were. And yeah, that person dropping you just because you didn't have something of importance was pretty rude indeed, and trying to troll people with decent Pokemon with abhorrent nicknames you can't get rid of is the top of the ladder of terrible behaviour among Pokemon '''fans''' if you can even call people that do things like that actual fans of anything beyond being rude.

Agreed. What is your take on broken trades from the 3ds era? They made an oversight of how rare and coveted some of these patterns are. Even though the pss was way better for communicating, people would rather actively ignore what you're asking for in the messages posted, and yes the gts and wonder trade were no better either for vivillon enthusiasts.

I honestly don't think whoever designed them and their rarity cares whatsoever about whether or not people can collect them all, or how difficult it is to do so. If they did, we'd have a worldwide Vivillon event that would let everybody everywhere get access to them, or they'd release paid DLC packs with all of them in it. But because they just don't care, they randomly put it into a new game every so often as an eyecatch to get more people playing, and that's the extent of it. As for the PSS on Gen 6, it was easily my favorite way to trade with people, and I rarely had a bad interaction with the other players on there. In fact, the reason I even joined this very site was because of the nice interactions I had during my Gen 6 trading days.
I have a lot of issues with the way the Pokemon series is currently being handled by TPC & GF, but I don't think a lot of those problems are the results of bad fans, rather the way those companies manage Pokemon rarity. No one would need to have to deal with toxic '''fans''' if those companies released more frequent events like they used to years ago. Hell, when even was the latest Mythical giveaway? Not counting the new one they already planned to be a part of the story of course. Ugh, anyway, beyond an occasional disagreement with another series fan, the Pokemon community (not this Pokemon community, the fandom in general) has been rather decent to me.

In my case, I was just late to online play in xy. Maybe I would have had an easier time with patterns before my pattern became extremely common in the 3ds Kalos. For the most part there was positive interactions from the pss for other trades. There were only like 2 to 3 people who were actively trying to mess with me on the pss 1 of them was because of vivillon, had to downgrade them to acquaintances and hopefully lose them. If home is still a reliable place to get other patterns, I'll help you get them in legends kalos if they're all added to the game. Again maybe it's a little bit of both, but I mostly think the general player base from rare pattern making rare patterns, rare and supposably valuable by not breeding, evolving, not being actively online, or spreading their patterns with more consistent flow of that pattern, for such a common Pokemon in their region are to blame. If I had the accessibility to these regions or lived in these regions I would make these patterns not so rare, so they can see what these butterflies are really worth, yeah, just another common bug type, that should be traded like any regular non legendary or non myth.

I try to do that sorta thing with version exclusives when a new Gen comes out. I just breed a whole bunch of them and send them off over wondertrade (or whatever they call it now lol).
And while not exactly relevent to the original topic, I appreciate that you're willing to help me out with the patterns again, but thankfully I only really wanted to have one full set, so you don't have to go through the trouble of all that again for me.
