If there's something I didn't like about this site, it's how most people whenever they do something like Favorite Gym Leader or Gym Leader Vote Off, the Orange Island Gym Leaders are rarely mentioned! I want to know right now if the Orange Island Gym Leaders should be mentioned on this site or should they be stripped of their position in the Pok?mon League!

Sorry. I have on;y seen the last leader, and I don't even remember his name. It's not that I don't like them, just missed the episodes.

The orange league is forgotton because it's an anime only thing, and we all know that the anime got 80% crappy episodes (especially Jhoto), 15% average and only 5% of all episodes are actually very worthy of watching... really if it's attached to the anime and only appears in the anime, you got quite a good chance that it'll be forgotton.

I liked the Orange League (suddenly, at nearly 9 PM, I get cravings for orange fruit juice sticks XD), it was original.

And the Champ, with his necklace-Pokeball, is coooool. I now draw all my new Gymmies, which suck, with a Pokeball necklace.

EDIT - Frostweaver, I half-agree with you. The plots were all boring and, yes, monotonous - e.g. Gang meets gal/boy/family in trouble (here, Brock falls in love with any females around), then TR makes trouble, gang smashes TR into the sky - how do they live that long? 0_o), they fix up the trouble, TO BE CONTINUED.

Some of them were interesting. The first two movies were definitely good. I like the short clippies, they're cute.

Although I don't reckon Orange should be forgotten. Sure, they probably will, but they were - out of the monotony.

    a) Nintendo's 2-on-2 R/S battle thing originated there (WOOT!)
    b) There were only four Gym Leaders, something different.
    c) Tracey was around then, so cool.
    d) The eps were more interesting, because there were more complications.

Although the Johto eps were CRAP with a capital C... (And all the rest in capitals). The Hoenn ones aren't that bad; they're good for shipping. :)

Yeah, that was really good. I hated the Johto episodes though!

I can't pick one of the choices, because none of them really represent my thoughts. In my opinion, I think the past is the past, and we can't spend the entire series dwelling. Maybe once or twice a season it could be mentioned, but the focus should be on the present.

i think its mostly because barely anyone know them,
there is no games with the orange league

The Orange league is long forgotten because there was no game to accompany it. I lost interest in the anime arouind that time (mainly because they replaced my favorite character with the exact same guy except he draws pok?mon instead of flirts with girls...)

Long well forgotten... but some episodes from the Orange League is funny and cute... ^_^

I in fact liked the Orange Islands too. I liked it mostly because it was a new way to do things in the Pokemon Show. Aside from the everyday Gym Battle with Pokemon, in this one you had to rely on your Pokemon to complete a task, and that's what made me like it, because of the new creative things they had to do.

I voted on the 2nd opinion that it should be mentioned more often. After all, it was a good chunk of the show for a while, and did involve lots of new things, including a new charecter. So yeah, I think that people should recognize it more, and not just leave it out to die. :P

    Me LOVES Orange League ;)

*is greatly resenting Frosty's nitpicky commentary* The anime is actually very good, and in my opinion is getting better. The reason why teh Orange Island Gym Leaders are forgotten is because there was no game to back it up. It wasn't because of this nonsense Frosty speaks of about it being crappy and that is why. Bull. The reason why is because since there was no game featuring teh Orange islands, no one has actually fought them like they ahve done with every other gym leader set. Because of that, they don't have the experience with the names and the towns and such in Orange Islands that they get with Johot and Kanto and Hoenn because it lacked emphasis. It's Anime only, that is the reason, but Frosty's definition of why the anime only thing is the reason why it's forgotten is most certainly wrong.

The Orange League has about 36 episodes which makes it even more easier to forget. I like the Orange League, there are some good episodes in the Orange League: the gym battles, the league itself where Ash takes on Drake, "Bound for Trouble" and a few others.
When Ash was in Violet City in Johto, telling a class about the competitions he'd entered, I've noticed that he only mentioned the Indigo League.
Also (if I remembered it correctly) May en Max's dad asked Ash the same kind of question and Ash told him that he had competed in the Indigo League and Johto Silver Converence.
Has he forgotten that he had won the Orange League? Or did the writers forgot Ash ever participated in that league?
