4th Gen who are the best tanks?

    A team full of sweepers is nice, but what happens when it is you getting sweeped? who you gonna call? I am personally trying to find out which sweeper should be added to my team, aside from one wicked blissey
     
    Blissey is a terrific special wall/sweeper wall with it's AMAZINGLY high HP (last I checked, it's over 700! O_O)

    Milotic, if IIRC, is a good tank...
     
    Having a sweepers-only team is n00bish and epic fail... :D
    Try to have at least a Special and a Physical wall...
     
    yes i have learned that the hard way sadly enough, i just have to decide which physical to pick because i no there is many options, besides i am fairly new to competitive battling
     
    Why is this a thread? You would need to post your full team for people to see what would really benefit you the most. You could probably study Smogon's list for some basic sets. A Tank is actually a pokemon that is able to switch into something and take minimal damage, but also be able to do considerable damage back. Blissey therefore, is not a tank. You won't be sweeping or KO'ing anything 1 on 1 with a Blissey. Pokemon like Torterra and Regirock are Tanks. You could probably post your team in S&M with some ideas. Please make sure it isn't in-game though, or else we won't want to help you...=P

    Foretress, Gliscor, Bronzong are all good options.
     
    I wouldn't exactly call Forretress a tank but a pain in the butt since he usually doesn't attack but lays down entry hazards and then blows up.
     
    Eh, Gyro ball can be a pain.
     
    This kind of topic really belongs in the Strategies forum.. But there's no team listed so how could anyone really help you? If you want to ask a simple question in general about good tanks, go here. If you want specific help for your team, post a Rate-My-Team thread there and follow the guidelines. If you want a serious discussion about tanks and strategies and whatnot, repost this thread in that forum and if Blueberry likes the idea, he might approve it (I doubt it though since the only threads that should go there are RMTs).
