So yeah, what the title says.

Personally, I wish we had a Skarmory evolution. We got past the eighth generation apparently and I haven't seen the slightest hint of that happening yet..

Relicanth. We all know it's inspired by the real life living fossil Coelacanth.. I would love to see a Relicanth evolution that resembles the Dunkleosteus, an extinct (and gigantic!) bony, armored fish.

Realistically, Coelacanths and Dunkleosteus share almost nothing in common, other than both being alive in the Devonian period, taxonomically. But still! I just feel like it would make for such an awesome evolution!

Many. Bases it largely on design. Avoided Pokemon with several elements to it already. Risks cluttering it with too many ideas. Does not need more horns on Tauros, for example. Already seems quite big also.

Unown: Boring and weak. Proposes an evolution into a book with three Unown in the party. Could take a page (no pun intended) from Dragapult and shoot Unowns.

Dunsparce: Left room to expand on it.

    Luvdisc: A little, basic fish.

    Spinda: Weak and non-descript.

Minun/Plusle and Dedenne: Looks too much like Pichu. Let them grow up into their own thing. Would not be against adding Morpeko and Pachirisu.

    Chatot: A very one-note Pokemon.

Carbink: Practially created an evolution (Diancie). Yanked it away.

Primeape: Does not have much going on, design-wise.

Hypno: Probably ends up creepier, but oh well.

Persian: Just a cat with a jewel in its forehead. Could add something to it.

Purugly: Barely evolved the first time. Wrapped its tail around itself to puff itself up.

Tauros is definitely getting an evolution soon, and it really needs one. I know I'm not the only one who thought Bouffalant was a Tauros evolution back in 2010 before bw released.

Girafarig should get one, too that revisits its original concept back when it was a two headed giraffe.

Torkoal should, too. Back then, when Turtonator was its own single stage, it just feels like Torkoal could use a final evolution. I think it originally had one planned, but it got cut, so let's give it one.

Zangoose and Seviper evolving to advance their rivalry makes sense to me. It needs to happen.

Luvdisc needs an evolution. Still baffles me Alomamola is not its evolution.

Chatot should get one, as its chatter gimmick is mo longer even in use. It could evolve into a Fairy type, tbh.

Carnivine is in desperate need of an evolution. It's a forgotten and weak Pokemon that could use something new.

Maractus could use one that gets an ability that can protect it from Sandstorms.

Siglilyph could use an evolution down the line, as well.

Druddigon could use an evolution because it feels underloved and ignored.

Komala should evolve & have an evolved form that finally decides to wake up. But it'd likely be a gimmicky evolution.

Maybe people would like Bruxish more if it got an evolution. But, I doubt it.

I'm not going to look at two stage evolutions rn I'm tired. But I'll come back & post more later.

A lot of the ones that came to mind are already mentioned, but additionally:

    Delibird desperately needs one imo.
    Smeargle could use something too.

Castform, why not a weather specific split evolution? =3
Illumise & Volbeat, often cast aside due to being weak despite having nice designs. An evolution could help.

Also with Scyther now having a split evolution, I think Pinsir and Heracross deserve something too.

Watch out for Eviolite though... I definitely wouldn't want to see already super annoying walls like Skarmory or Carbink getting a +50% boost on both defenses :)

I'd give evos to Pokémon with very mediocre stats for a final or single stage, such as Unown, Kricketune, Sunflora, Arbok, Delcatty, Volbeat and Illumise.

Especially Unown, which I hope Game Freak implements Legends Arceus Hidden Power mechanic into the main games, now that it's an Unown-exclusive move.

    - Dunsparce
    - Luvdisc
    - Pyukumuku
    - Kricketune
    - Delibird
    - Arbok and Weezing

The last two aren't as big a deal, but I do think they can benefit from it.

Delibird meanwhile is one of those mons that could really benefit from one, but I absolutely cannot envision what it would look like. @_@

Furret comes to mind. It's essentially a worse Raticate, and that's saying a lot, so an evolution would do this long boy some justice, I feel. While we're at it, let's make other Johto mons less awful, like Ledian, Ariados, and Sunflora by giving them evolutions. Other Pokémon that feel "incomplete" to me, like Delcatty and Kricketune thanks to their awful stats, could use evolutions as well. I'd also give Tropius one in this regard, although making it an even bigger dinosaur seems a little too much to me.

On the other hand, though, I'm not totally on board with giving evolutions to "gimmicky" Pokémon like Smeargle or Wobbuffet. Smeargle's gimmick is that it can learn almost any move, so if you were to give Smeargle an evolution, with (I'm assuming) higher stats across the board, its gimmick would be even more obnoxious to deal with. Wobbuffet's a similar story, and if you made this thing even bulkier (by either evolution or the Eviolite Wobbuffet would benefit from thanks to it), its gimmick of hitting back twice as hard as it took would make it much more annoying.

Chatot definitely needs an evolution, though. Give us more parrot Pokémon, Game Freak! Who's to say Castform's creators can't give it an evolution, either?

The main Pokémon that I would have loved to see evolve would have been Unown. Other than serving as the alphabet and some punctuation marks in the Pokémon world at times, Unown serves no other purpose. It's only known move is Hidden Power, which Unown itself can't even make good use of. I thought that the Pokémon known today as Sigilyph was the evolved form of Unown, but I guess they chose not to go that route. I would also love to see Klefki get its own evolution stage. I can imagine its final form becoming several rings of unsettling looking keys that turn it into an abomination.

since it's unlikely that mega evolution is going to make any sort of return, it'd be nice if Game Freak would throw mawile a bone and make it relevant again with an evo. not. like, a 1:1 copy of its mega evo, but something similar i guess? idk
