3rd Gen Where is your secret base?

Mine is on that little island if you surf up from mauville, its the first tree there

Mine is on Route 119, in that big bush, straight south of Fortree City. I have 20 other Secret Bases, but they are strictly used for EV training purposes.

Because when you mix records with another RSE cart, and it has a Secret Base, that location then shows up on your cart, and once a day you can go there and battle that trainer and whatever Pokemon they had at the time. What I did was play my Ruby cart until I got Secret Power. I then created a Secret Base location, traded 6 Pokemon from Emerald to use for EV training (i.e. 6 Lv5 Raichu with no attacks), mixed records with my Emerald cart so that Secret Base would then show up there, then reset and do it all over again with a different location.

I have two bases full of 6 Pokemon that have 3 EVs of each stat. First I feed 10 of the appropriate vitamin for 100 EV points. I then give my lead Pokemon the Macho Brace, and between that and the Pokerus that a good friend of mine that used to hang out here so kindly gave to me, my Pokemon gets 12 EV points per battle, for a total of 244 EV points. I then have one base that one Pokemon that gives 3 EV points for each stat. I then go to a natural EV training and battle twice against a Pokemon with 1 EV of that stat or once against one that has 2.

So, that gives me one maxed out stat in under 10 minutes. That doesn't even account for the fact that five other Pokemon can hold Exp Share and gain 6 EV points for each battle. This allows me to fully train a handful of Pokemon (since only certain Pokemon should have a maxed out stat) every day in a manner of minutes.

The last Secret Base has 6 Lv100 Pokemon with no attacks. This allows me to level up lower leveled Pokemon in a short amount of time every day. The trick with that base is, once I battle, I mix records with that cart again, and then I can battle again right away. That allows me to level up a Pokemon very quickly, without having to go through the Weak 5 that wastes time, and earn more Exp points in the process. Plus it is a legitimate way to train/raise Pokemon without having to cheat.

Mine is above Rusboro.
Surf around, though a field of 3 trainers.
On the Mountains.

Usually on Route 113, with all the ash and stuff. I like to roll around in it.
It's the one next to where the parasol lady stands.

How on earth did you get lvl 100's without attacks :?

He either used a bug in Ruby and Sapphire (not emerald) with one of the "force move right" water tiles on the route from pacifidilog + daycare couple trick, or did it by good old hard work.

That is what the Move Deleter is for. Basically, I have 6 Chansey that only know Tail Whip. I use Chansey because it and Blissey give you the highest Exp points when you faint it. I use Chansey over Blissey for the obvious fact that it is overall weaker. Every time you battle a Lv100 Chansey, you earn (off the top of my head here) about 5400 Exp points. If the Pokemon you are using was traded to the cart you are using, it will earn over 8000. If you are lucky enough to have a Lucky Egg (pun intended) you will earn over 12000. So, six Chansey (that faint pretty quickly against physical attacks) will net 32400, 48000, or 72000 Exp. points, respectively.

Now, let's compare the Exp points you get by battling the Weak 5, errrr I mean "elite" 4:

Sidney: 5 battles for 8739 Exp points
Phoebe: 5 battles for 8607 Exp points
Glacia: 5 battles for 9066 Exp points
Drake: 5 battles for 10937 Exp points
Wallace: 6 battles for 14215 Exp points

That is a GRAND TOTAL of 26 battles for 51564.

I don't know about you, but I would MUCH rather battle 6 Chansey that cannot attack you with a traded Pokemon to earn 48000 than have to go through 21 more battles (against Pokemon that can attack) for the extra 3564 Exp point difference. That is how much more effective a Secret Base with 6 Lv100 Pokemon can be. That is also why Emerald is far and away the greatest Pokemon game to date. DPP fans can have their Wi-Fi and new Pokemon that look more like Digimon and that crappy battle structure. Emerald is simply the best.

I swear I need to do a write up and get it stickied because I go through this about once or twice a year.

@Shanecdavis there is an alternative to Chansey/Blissey, Gardevoir or Latios with Memento, although it can be problematic when you are forced to switch because they cannot lower your stats anymore (Clear Body/Haze work well), no attacking required.

I have all the necessary tools to make me some secret bases, I just never have bothered to be honest.

If I stated its location, it wouldn't be secret anymore would it?

Nah... never mind...
It's on an island were there is one fighting dude who says he'd like to exchange your running shoes... (Emerald)
In R/S on the other hand, he mentions Brawly and Bruno fighting together, I think...

Shane, I'm pretty sure Legendaries give more exp...

Mine's in a mountain because I like mountains. I'm still trying to find one I can put my HardDesk in. :D

Sapphire version, for days, searching every base, looking for that perfect place. I headed for Lilycove City, the place I visit most. Heading west past Route 121, I hit 120. There is a lake, up those "stairs." The perfect place was found, and made my secret base there. :) There's a Regi area nearby, rain, berry place, that lake, it's just... perfect. With my favorite city & areas nearby.

Whoops, not so secret anymore. ;x

No thanks. Both Gardevoir and Lati@s give over 1000 less Exp points. With Chansey's weak Def and Tail Whip (which does absolutely nothing since it cannot attack), you can burn through them pretty easily.

Nope, you are incorrect. Chansey and Blissey give the most Exp points. I wouldn't be using them if they didn't.

Mine's in the one just outside the rusturf cave with all the whismur inside. It feels so cozy in that clearing, plus being next to the daycare center and all those whismur is great for breeding in my opinion.

Mine is in the right part of the tree where the Double-Battle trainers West of Lilycove stands, my friend Patrik has the other side of it...
I just have it to demonstrate some of my rare Pokemons and SB-Items XD
