3rd Gen Where is the Red Shard in Sapphire?

I have found the yellow, blue and green shards but I can't find the red shard, where is it?

-Red Shard Locations-

1. You can find one Route 127 (The one under Mossdeep City.). If you follow the path straight south from Mossdeep until you are able to turn right, do so and go around the Fisherman that stand by the water's edge to find a long strip of dark water. Dive here and find a lone rock. Press A on the rock to get the shard.

2. You can steal (Use Thief and Covet) a Red Shard from a wild Corsola. 5% chance of successfully getting a Red Shard.

The Red Shard is mostly found underwater in Routes 124. It is also sometimes found attached to wild Pokemon.

The only one that is lying around is on Route 127; you need to go south from Mossdeep, and when possible, go right, where there should be some Fishermen on an island(s). Somewhere around there should be a long strip of water; Dive down, and it should be somewhere in there.

If you've got that one, you can use Covet or Thief (personal favourite: Covet, as Zigzagoon and Linoone learn it; Ziggy in the 20's, I believe) on wild Corsola; they have a small chance of holding the item known as Red Shard. I did this, and after about half an hour, I had about 8 Shards.

Do bare in mind, however, that you will need to make sure Zigzagoon/Linoone are not holding an item, after every battle where you kill the opposing Pokemon; since it has Pickup, it can be a little tricky, when stealing for defeated foes.

I tried the Covet move on about 20 Corsolas and I haven't gotten a single item yet, am I doing something wrong?

Well, there is only about a 5% chance of getting one, so its no surprise its taking a while. Make sure the Pokemon isn't holding an item when you go into it, and you should be fine.

I'd say you're just having a string of bad luck.. XD
