Where is Fiore/Almia based on?

    Okay, here's the deal. I'm making my own map of the Pokémon world, as it is on Earth. That is, in relation to the places they're based on in the real world. For example:

    Now, like everyone else, I have no idea where Fiore is meant to be. But Almia looks a lot like the "tail" part of Hokkaido, the region Sinnoh is based on. There's a bit that sticks out to the south-west that looks a lot like it.

    Now, I also read somewhere that Almia is to the east of Fiore, but I can't find anything to back that up, although it would make sense.

    Orre is based on Phoenix, so that doesn't fit here at all, and it's looking more and more like Isshu is based on New York, so that won't go on this map either, but maybe another map that includes the States might be interesting...

    So, thoughts & suggestions on the Ranger regions?
     
    That's funny, because I was thinking of doing the same thing. It would take forfreakingever, but it would be worth it.
     
    Moving to spin-offs since this is a Ranger region. I don't play the Ranger games, so I don't really have any input on this topic.
     
    I'm sorry for going off-topic but there's a problem with the Battle Frontier in Sinnoh.

    If you look here you'll see that the Sinnoh BF is based on the southern tip of Sakhalin, a very long island.

    In other words, the BF is this orange space here.

    So actually it shouldn't be so small. Other than that your map looks excellent.

     
    Orre is mostly desert, right? If you wanted to include it on your map despite it not being based on somewhere in Japan maybe you could put it in the middle of that mountainous area and have it touch the lake of rage. Just a thought.

    Fiore could be on the inland sea, north of Shikoku.

    Any comments on the placements of any of the regions? I'm aware that Unova doesn't belong there, but it fits better than having to have a separate map for it. ^_^

    Seeing all of the regions there ever were in one map together... That, my friend, is the definition of PWNage.
