    This is a question I've always wanted to ask: who, in your opinion, is the best among those worthless rodents you always skip over?

    Do the rats hold a dear place in your heart? Or maybe you have a thing for those adorable ferrets? Then again, the racoons (is that what they are?) might be cool and all that, stealing your food when you camp. But, how could anyone forget the beavers!?!

    So, which one is YOUR favorite? Mine's gonna have to be Rattata and Raticate: their Hyper Fang is awesome.

    Rattata was always picked up primarily for PokeDex purposes.

    Sentret's evolution is adorable and I used it in G/S/C a lot. Definitely one of my faves from that generation since it's really cute :P

    Linoon is more useful than Furret unfortunately, and it's just as cute, so I voted for that one, due to its movepool being better...

    Bidoof is just lame. HM Slave? That's all that's good for apparently. S'friggin' ugly.
     
    I've always seen Linoone as the best actual team Pokemon. Bibarel would have to be the best HM slave since it has that water bonus with it.
     
    I hate all of them. First of all, the Rats, EWW! Then those heinous things that are meant to be "cute" BLEH! Skip on and you have Bibarel, is this Pokemon really necessary, I mean it's creative but seriously. Should have been Water and something else, though being normal actually makes sense, hard to criticise...

    This brings me down the the Linoone Family, which I'm not a fan of but that female PokeRanger outside the Battle Area showed me that boy do they have a MIGHTY slash, woah. So I picked that. Plus they're fast.

    EDIT: I just realised (thanks to this thread) that the normal Pokemons at the beginning have been rodents and only have 2 evolutionary stages.

    Well I've always felt a bit sorry for the Sentret/Furrets, because nobody ever pays attention to them. But I think out of all of them Rattata/Raticates are the best. People use them alot, and F.E.A.R. is fricking awesome. I hated Zigzagoons because the catch rate is way too high. This is definitely a great question though!
     
    Why Rattata and Raticate of course. ^_^ But I do like Zigzagoon and Linoone too. Rattata and Raticate purely because they're the originals. xD

    ett is my favorite. I mean look at how cute that is? and you don't run into them all the frikkin time during the game, unlike Bidoof which apprently lives in every region of sinnoh.

    Zigzagoon is the best though. He always picked up cool stuff for me in RSE. Rattata isn't so bad I guess, Sentret I've never used and usually forget about, and Bidoof just should never have existed in the first place.

    Plus the fact it can learn Surf. How awesome is a surfing raccoon?
     
    I just love Bidoof. I dislike Bibarel but Bidoof is adorable and I want to own one so I can squish it and love it and spoil it rotten. :'D

    I also think Sentret/Furret are adorable but I've never trained one (nor wanted to). The rats and 'coons do nothing for me though. :< I know I trained a Linoone once but I don't like its design and only kept it in the party for the HMs it could learn (and 'cause sometimes it'd find me items).

    So yes, Bidoof all the way.
