What's your favourite episode?

    Quite a simple and straightforward question to ask, but perhaps not the easiest to answer. What's your favourite episode of all the episodes of the Pokemon Anime released? Was it when Ash caught Caterpie, or when he let it free as a Butterfree? Perhaps you preferred the Orange Island series, or like one of the newer episodes better.

    Also, if you do have a clear favourite, why? Is there something about that episode you particularly like? What?

    Hm, I have a select few that all happen to be from the Johto series. Maybe it's because I recently watched them and have a better memory of why I like them.

    EP146 Tricks of the Trade
    This was the episode where Wobbuffet originated from. I don't need to explain any further...

    EP165 Hassle in the Castle
    Ash, Brock, Misty, TR, and Dr. Anna get trapped in these corridors under a building. The corridors are rigged with traps, so Jessie uses Wobbuffet as bait for the traps. Wobbuffet manages to avoid every trap, tricking Jessie into stumbling upon them. It's a really funny episode.

    EP170 A Better Pill to Swallow
    The funniest episode of them all. TR drinks Shuckle juice that emits pheromones and a whole army of Shuckle falls in love with TR. I LOL whenever Jessie screams when getting licked by a Shuckle.

    EP192 The Wayward Wobbuffet
    Wobbuffet gets separated from TR and the gang, which isn't good because Pikachu is locked in a pod and Wobbu has the key. After a whole series of misadventures-including Wobbuffet driving a boat, drifting down a river, and more-the gang gets the key back and saves Pikachu.

    I picked these episodes because they're really funny. The humor of the Johto episodes is what makes them so enjoyable to watch.
     
    Ep009 : The School of Hard Knocks :

    Because Giselle appear there & Thats the only time Ash shown a interest in a girl during his 15 trolling year .
    That time he use to act like a ''Real 10 year old Boy'' unlike now where he act like 5 year little girl .
    Plus , The competition I felt on that episode were far intense then what I feel now .
    May be , XY series should create another ''Giselle'' as a referring accept she will not change her view that fast like Giselle.
     
    My favourite episode... is a hard choice between Fighting Ire with Fire! and Memories are made of Bliss!.

    If I could remember all the Hoenn episode names then maybe my favourites would be completely different. I really loved the ones where Ash and May's Pokémon evolved (Torchic -> Combusken was pretty awesome) and the general gist of all the episodes. I loved them all tbh.

    Gosh, those were the best episodes ever.

    I think the first one that comes to mind would be The Four Eevee Brothers, simply because it's the most memorable episode I remember from my childhood.

    From the BW saga, that I started watching while I was playing fifth gen, I like anything with Ash's Snivy, and the N arc, mostly because I love the games. Though I think my favorite would be Cheren's episode, since I really wanted to see him as a Gym Leader in the anime.

    I do admit that while I love fun and cute episodes, I have a soft spot for good-bye episodes, I get really emotional. While Ash and Butterfree may seem the obvious choice here, my favorite is actually Crossing Paths, I felt Jessie and Dustox's good-bye was much more powerful and really touching.

    My top favorites are all from the Johto episodes, but here are a couple from other series:

    EP019 Tentacool and Tentacruel
    So I always saw a little clip of this episode during the original intro sequence (when the giant Tentacruel smashes a skyscraper with one of its tentacles) and I wanted to watch it for the longest time. One day Cartoon Network happened to air it so I got to watch it. This episode is definitely different, it will keep your attention for sure. A lot of destruction compared to other episodes but there was still a positive message: don't disturb nature :P

    BW094 The Road to Humilau!
    The first half of this episode is ok, mainly pretty scenery and that's about it. I do enjoy rainstorms, though. The second half is where it gets interesting. Wailord is one of absolute favorite Pokémon so it's always good to see one in the anime. Marlon is my favorite Gym Leader from Unova and Water is my favorite type so seeing his battle with Cameron was great. It's also nice to see someone besides Ash battling a Gym Leader.

    Definitely the "8th wonder of the Sinnoh World". Two different scenarios eventually clashing together at one point. Ash's last gym battle, and Team Rocket's attempts to reenter Sunyshore Tower, which is absolutely hilarious!
     
    My favorite episode would have to be the one with the big gengar. That one was just so bizzare! It would have to be either that epsiode or the one where Ash almost gave up pikachu. It really show how selfless Ash is.

    Tree's a Crowd.

    Reason being this: I finally get to meet Ash's Treecko, and that alone makes me happy~. So in its entirety, it will always be a favorite of mine.
     
    "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak" for me. Season 1 episode 20.
    Summer sceneries, James, Misty, Brock, Gastly were great in this one.
     
    It has got to be the episode where Ash's Caterpie evolves (and beats both Koffing and Ekans by itself somehow...) misty goes to pat it's head and... HaHa :)
     
    I enjoy most of the newer episodes.. I loved watching the two episodes where Ash fought Paul in the Sinnoh league. I just love the long battle scenes.
    I also oddly really enjoyed the one where Meowth fell in love with a Glameow, and she evolved into a Purugly and it was hilarious.
     
    My two favorite episodes of all times don't have much to do with the 'human characters' themselves, but with the Pokemon....

    my all time favorite episode still remains "The Pokemon Harbor Patrol" - because of Dewott and Watchog! How Watchog tries it's best to fit in and try it's best, and how smart it was to rescue its friends too, it made me like N a bit more. Many scenes were just too emotional for me.

    and the other one I also love is from Decolore episode "Cilan and the Case of Purrloin Witness" - again mostly for Purrloin - he was the main reason I love this episode, and Cilan's reaction every time Purrloin and him where in the same scenes, and when Cilan catches Purrloin. (and also for me Watchog was in this episode!)

    Definitely the episodes where Ash takes on Lt. Surge. Gosh those were so epic back in the day...
     
    I like the very first episode. Other than that I also love the Battle Frontier episode where Ash and May tie in a contest and split the ribbon.

    Also, I love the episode where Ash (3rd time), May, Brock, and Scott finally see Ho-oH after Ash is freed from the evil spirit of King of Pokelantis.
     
    my two favourite anime episodes ever were "go west young meowth" and the blaine battle

    go west young meowth always stuck to me because it is very different to all the other episodes. battling wasn't important and nor was ash wich is always good. i always wondered how meowth knew how to talk and this episode explaining it to me helped hugely

    i liked the blaine vs ash battle because the 1 vs 1 showdown between magmar and charizard on top of the volcano was just amazing to me, it is to this day my favourite battle in the anime
     
    The Ghost Of The Maiden's Peak was amazing. I seriously loved that epsiode! Super funny <3
     
    I liked gathering a gang of four, I liked how Ash got his starters from Kanto together and camped out with them to get ready for his match against Brandon
