What's the difference between being a Psychic and being an Aura user?

    Known abilities of aura:

Ability to read minds and actions of another being.
Ability to "sense" other auras and view surroundings even with a blindfold, also allows users to view through some objects.
Projection of one's aura; such as to create barriers or attacks. It can also be used to transfer aura to others but that method can be fatal to the user.
    Activation of time flowers.
    Telepathy.

Okay, other than time flowers, aren't those skills the type of things Psychics can do, like Sabrina? Yet, Riley doesn't seem to be Psychic, but an Aura Guardian.

    What's the difference?

Save for the telepathy, the activation of "aura" is more akin to fighting types, at what they use is their own spiritual energy and not external forces that psychic powers rely on. Know those power attacks from DBZ and Street Fighter? Aura is basically that: hadou. One's own energy.

With the mental powers, it could be related to a psychic's own abilities, but considering the path they're going down, the physical versus the mental, it's not considered "psychic".

    So it's like "Ki", then?

But Psychics only use their mind. They don't have external things to rely on. I mean, sure, some of them use spoons, but it doesn't come from the spoon itself.

No, psychokinesis involves using external force that they bend with their mind. They're mind is in control, but it's only using outside forces (generally gravity and force via propulsion) to command what they want. Your cell structure isn't being used to levitate you, meaning it's not internal; it's a mental command over gravity that's getting you in the air.

And yes, aura is technically "ki".

Oh, alright, I get it now!

So basically, Aura can be used by Blackbelts like Bruno right? Since he has all that physical energy and he's a fighter type of a person.

In theory, but it takes a lot of specialized training that Riley alluded to, and even if it hadn't, I imagine it takes the right sort of person capable of handling aura. Otherwise, everyone who did martial arts would be able to use it, and I don't think that's the case.

Given Aaron didn't look like much of a melee fighter, or Riley one at all. Aura simply is the capability of utilizing your own spirit energy. The rules for using it might not be the same compared to other fandoms that use the same thing.
