what Pokemon in whatever Pokemon game did you teach the move 'fly' to and why did you choose that Pokemon

my choice has always been 'Moltres' and the reason why is, I have this fantasy of riding Moltres, so I teach fly to Moltres hence the character you play is riding Moltres, besides the Photoshopped picture of me riding Moltres, teaching Moltres fly in the game is the closest I'll ever get to be riding Moltres...

I teach fly to whichever Pokemon in my team has wings and no more then 2 HM's in their moveset! xD
I have it on Archeops in Black though.

For some odd reason I always have at least one flying type Pokemon on my team. Since I have a flying type, I usually give them the flying type move.

In Ruby i always teach it to Flygon to balence his moveset.

    My current flying pokemon:
    Flygon lvl 74

    Earthquake
    Fly
    Hyper Beam
    Dragon Claw

I typically have the regional bird (Pidgey, Tailow, etc.) along for the ride and teach it fly. If possible, I stick a few other HM's on it as well. When it gets to the later game and the region's bird starts to become FAR outclassed by other pokemon (usually a dragon), I replace it and nab a Tropius ASAP. If I have the space, Tropius comes along with me. If I don't, it get's boxed until HM's become a bit more pertinent.

I teach Fly to the following Pokemon in each generation:
-Gen III: Salamence (because it got the move naturally, before that, it was Swellow).
-Gen I (FireRed/LeafGreen): Aerodactyl (I wanted it on the team and decided to use the Fly HM on it without swapping Pokemon on my team.)
-Gen IV: Staraptor (I was originally against it, but after seeing that it had Close Combat, I decided to make it my Fly slave)
-Gen II (HeartGold/SoulSilver): Ho-oh/Lugia (I couldn't think of better Pokemon to use the HM on)
Gen V: Archeops (because Unfezant just didn't cut it)

    Kanto: Pidgeot or Dragonite
    Johto: Pidgeot
    Hoenn: Flygon
    Sinnoh: Crobat
    Unova: Archeops

All were part of my main team in their respective games... I'm not one for using HM slaves and there are worse HM moves than Fly. Not that I'd use Fly in a competitive setting but as an in-game move it's not too bad...

    Kanto: Pidgeot
    Johto: Pidgeot
    Hoenn: Swellow
    Sinnoh: Staraptor
    Unova: Archeops

I've used all the Pokemon listed in my in-game teams. I rather teach one of my Pokes Fly rather than have one HM Slave. Fly isn't that bad in-game, I just wouldn't use it in a competitive setting.

    Kanto & Johto- Pidgeot
    Hoenn- Swellow
    Sinnoh- Staraptor
    Unova- Golurk

Gen 1: Fearow. On blue, pidgeot. On yellow, charizard gets the ability to fly, so yeah.
    Gen 4: Staraptor

I'm still working/playing on gen 2 and 3. Don't care much for black and white because they LAAAAAAAG on no$gba.

    Kanto: Pidgeot
    Johto: Pidgeot
    Hoenn: Swellow
    Sinnoh: Staraptor
    Unova: Unfezant

I've taught them Fly usually out of convenience. I almost always have a flying type in my main team, so why not?

I usually have at least one flyer on my team so I always teach it to them. It's usually Pidgeotto (which then of course becomes Pidgeot) but it's different in Gen 3-5 where that wasn't an option. I have it on my Staraptor in Gen 4, Swellow in Gen 3 and Unfezant/Archeops in Black and White.
