What is so bad about bidoof? really?

    why are people always hating bidoof. its the same as all the region beginning rodents, but its second evo has an extra type, unlike the others. really, what is so bad about it?

    and please dont put useless posts saying "BIDOOF SUCKS"
     
    It's useless. It's weak, pathetic, it's evolution is rubbish too, it has barely any good attacks, it pops up everywhere you look, and it bears a strong resemblance to a hairy turd.
     
    Nothing!! I thinks it's absolutely adorable!! Bibarel on the other hand...yeah...but it really isn't that bad. It has decent Atk and HP (arguably...NU). But with it's two abilities and a litte creative it can be really fun to use.

    I will never understand how people can call it useless, is it? Yes. But I could name bundles of pokemon from each generation that are just as useless. At least it's a good HM slave.

    I think people just hate it cause it's common. Same reason Zubat, Geodude, Tentacool and Kricketot are hated. ANd Bibarel's disign could have been better...but nothing wrong with Bidoof!!

    Bibarel is actually great.
    It has curse, super fang, and can learn 6 HMs.
    STAB surf is pretty good, which makes it the only pokemon available early that can fight.
    Don't hate on bibarel.

    They hate bidoof because the way they think is 'OMG 4TH GEN=FAIL LOLZ KOFFING IZ B4TTER TH@N TOXICRO@K.' That's all.

    Oh I knew someone was going to say this. Compare them; just them two. Bidoof is actually better though. It can actually have a full moveset and can use TM/HMs.

    I think Sunkern is actually the weakest Pokemon of all, not sure, but I won't get into that.
     
    Toxicroak is better than Koffing becuase it can learn fighting moves.When i first got Diamond, i actually considered using it and trained it to a Bibarel before I found a Buizel....It wasnt bad either but i learned it was the Rattata Sentret Zigzagoon of Sinnoh.....but....better...
     
    I'm not pronouncing a hatred of Gen IV, because some of my favourites are among that generation, and I am aware that Bibarel, attack-wise, has some good moves and lots of 'em.

    It's just... look at it. Just look at it. (and the following applies to Bidoof, too)

    Would something like that ever actually survive natural selection?

    Who in their right mind looked at the character design and thought, "Hey that's pretty good!"?

    And then look at Gyarados. Gyarados's design is amazing. Both beautiful and powerful.

    The only time I ever liked Bidoof was during "Bidoof's Wish" Special Episode, and that was mainly for the abundance of his southern accent.
     
    I have no problem with Bidoof. It's actually one of my favorites from Sinnoh. And I loved that it could learn the HM's that it could. It was actually my most used and strongest Pokemon earlier in the game. I feel that way about all of the generation rats.
     
    It's every where! Like...EVERY WHERE. In the games, gawd...IT'S EVERYWHERE. I walk into grass, bidoof, walk again bidoof!

    It's mainly that the design is horrible. Like somebody said above, Bidoof resembles what happens when you take a dump. As well as having extremely annoying looks (Bibarel is even worse) they pop up everywhere and get annoying. I realise that Bibarel is possibly the best HM slave across all the generations but I've never caught one just because it's so irritating to look at.
     
    It's worse than Magikarp.

    Why? Magikarp learns Flail. It has potential. It also evolves into Gyarados, but let's not count that. Bidoof...not so much.

    I'd go as far as say "Magikarp > Bibarel".

    Also, it pops up so much its annoying. It's hated like Zubat.
     
    Bidoof was okay the first 5 times in a row I saw it... It was those other million appearences it made that really made it annoying... Bibarel is worse because it's so ugly but it's also strong, it's like "Arg! Way to screw with my head."

    Well , actually the only good thing about Bidoof is that it makes a pretty good early HM Slave , as the rest :

    -It is always there , lurking somewhere , waiting to jump out and kill you ... with his boredomness
    -It's a ... kid beaver ? Are you all Nintendo out of ideas ? Hire Baro , he'll surely help you -_- .
    -Crappy moveset ! Even if you'd try to use him , you WON'T be able because he doesn't do so many things .

    Well , these are a few big reasons ...

    Ratatta is a rat
    Tauros is a bull
    Kangaskhan is a kangaroo
    Meowth is a cat
    Ditto is a blob

    Bidoof's evolution, Bibarel learns six HM's which makes it extremely useful. You can give it Surf, Strength, Waterfall and Rock Climb. All of these moves are strong, not to mention Bibarel gets STAB from all of them. HOORAY BIDOOF AND BIBAREL!

    Pokemon gamers complain that the Pokemon aren't original anymore. As much as I love and am nostalgic of the first generation, you really consider any of those Pokemon original? There may be some exceptions like Magmar, but the first gen is far from original.

    Okay now I'm just ranting. Done. I like Bidoof, it's cool in my opinion and I think Bibarel is very useful.

    It's because on top of being the current generation's weak, common, throwaway Pokemon, it's also pretty ugly.
     
    I just don't like Bidoof and Bibarel. Maybe it's the way they look (stupid, sorry, just my opinion), or how they pop out all the time, annoying me as hell, or all the battles they've made me lose.
    I like Magikarp. It has charm. The charm of being cute (there, I said it), and being pathethic in a funny way. I think Bidoof/Bibarel are annoying. I'm not saying they suck, just that I don't like them. I'm fine with them existing, because there are always others that I like that can be used instead.
