What do you feel you are the most passionate about (in terms of hobbies)?

    I would have to say for me, it's probably writing at best. I take a lot of pride and stuff in my writing. I'm almost always doing that, and if you've seen me in the Discord server... it's often the one thing I tend to mention most. XD I suppose some of my other things would be playing Pokemon. It's something that brings me a lot of comfort and will also easy my anxiety. I've been playing Pokemon since Yellow came out, so loooooong time. One more thing would be my 18 inch doll collection. I have 12 all together, yes a lot, but I know many of my friends on IG have WAY more than that. XD I love to dress up my dolls, travel with them and post about them on their dedicated Instagram. :D

    What about y'all? Is there any hobby or hobbies you are extremely passionate about? What about this particular hobby interests you compared to others? How long have you been doing/having this hobby? Why do you like this hobby or hobbies versus any others you have?
     
    This is a crazy hard question for me. Indeed, if you do have a passion, then maybe you could find work in that field. It's nothing for me tbh.
    I made my decisions on other criteria, such as importance of the job, how much id enjoy doing that, usefulness for other people, pay ig.
    But putting that aside, i guess i am a curious but very not constant person. This means that i do have tons of hobbies but don't keep them going regularly. Those include: violin, languages learning, writing, Linux, some gaming, some other stuff. Among those, it's hard to choose my fav one but because of the fact that i really like music, then id go with violin, despite my poor skills.
     
    Well moderating sites is a hobby for me but I don't want to just put it there. I also like making WRs in games. I have quite the bunch in one called DreamWorks SuperStar Kartz. Those are my hobbies ^^

    I don't have many things which interests to me. But following thing are the one which catches my attention quite decently :


    • Physics(Conceptual) + Learning something new, which I feel I should be.
    • Discussing out the things and ideas.
    • Watching the Sky and Nature.
    • Playing Sports and watching as well.
    • Customizing KDE.
    • Using equipments and apparatus.
    • Exploration.
    • Photography of nature.

    I like acquiring and learning something new, only in those direction which I like. Physics is pretty much my interest from childhood and I am into it.

    Sports is something which I use to channelize my competitiveness and enjoy them, plus I like to win and hate to lose.

    Other mentioned points are the tasks which I do in leisure time, and don't do them regularly.

    Games, Movies, Music, Anime are not my thing and only pick either of them to pass the time when I remain idle, and I am not passionate of picking them up at all.


    And all of the main interests which I mentioned always work in tandem. Except my subject, all others are not-so-necessary.

    So naturally the things which I don't like to do is due to this, and inherently oppose them. If they are not benefitting me, then no point in doing them, apart from some relaxation......
     
    As a hobby, I really enjoy writing! Here is a post I made in another thread about my blog, to avoid clogging things up. It's something I really enjoy doing as a passion and just out of love for what media I enjoy and for just loving sharing my thoughts and my feelings. The idea of trying to make it something bigger and more successful and monetize it has come across my mind a couple times, but I'm sure I'd fall out of love with it if I did.

    Besides that, I think the Pokemon TCG is a more unique hobby I have, it's how I met a lot of my friends in my hometown growing up and I still like to keep up to date and play it casually every now and then.
    Music is something I'm trying to get more into, I practically exclusively listen to J-Pop and J-Rock associated with my favourite anime, but through both exploring new artists and just getting more and more into the kinds I already love, I've found a lot I enjoy. Listening to more music is a new year's resolution I set for myself.
    Besides that, video games and anime are included, but while I'm still very passionate about them, I can't say they're the most unique or interesting hobby out there. They're just another very strong aspect of my life, like I feel they are with many other people.
     
    Cooking! I try my best to bake/cook things from scratch. One thing I am mastering is baking bread. I'm at the point where I no longer buy bread from the store anymore...because what's the point? No bread? No problem. I was gifted a KitchenAid mixer and it's been my best friend at the kitchen.

    Writing is also a passion of mine -- in fact, not just a hobby but also a career. I've written several short stories in the past, wrote longform articles at my previous job, and....well, you'll also find me writing nonstop in some posts. LOL

    Oh and traveling. I am a Type-A PLANNER. I plan everything from the airplane ride to the destination (maybe I was a travel agent in a past life????)
     
    I'm not really skilled in any of my hobbies enough to be super passionate. Plus most of my hobbies are just media consumption.
    That said, I'm passionate about representation in my media interests.
