What came first the game or the show?

    I don't remember. Or was the manga first?
     
    I think the games came first. But I believe there was a promotional Manga that was originally released with the RB games. I don't know if that's exactly accurate, but I remember hearing about the games before hearing about the show, so I guess it was similar in Japan.
     
    the game came out in 1995 and the show 1997.. japan releases. from what i was able to research. i wondered because ho-oh was shown very early on in the show but was never in pokemon red, blue or yellow.
     
    green wsa released in 1995 (as stated) followed by the anime in 1997, i honestly was first into thr anime the left it for the games

    Thank you. I forgot about that. In Japan it was Red and Green. I should've known that, since the remakes were Fire Red and Leaf Green (the same colors of their original Japanese counterparts).

    Admittedly, I didn't get into Pokemon until I saw the Anime.
     
    Funny huh? I also liked the show more and got into the games after watching it.
     
    No teh cards didnt come first, but it is pretty smart thinking that seeing these days simple card games are evolving into tv shows and manga

    everyone knows the cards originated form the original Red and Blue games then they made the Fossil and Jungle ones.
