What’s your all time favorite starter Pokémon?

turtwig's mine BECAUSE it was the first one i ever picked. my first ever taste of this franchise's offerings and i loved it to bits. bulbasaur's a close second bcs it reminds me so much of turtwig hehe.

The first starter I've ever picked was Totodile. As a kid, I was easily drawn to it because it's blue and a Water type. And its final evolution, Feraligatr, has always been a reliable team member. That's why it's my favourite starter Pokemon of all time.

Based on the basic stage alone, I'm inclined to pick Chikorita since it was my original in-game Starter (though I have to admit that its anatomy is pretty weird). Oshawott is also up there, and Mudkip would get my vote for cutest base Starter.

Counting evolutions, Wartortle is my favorite by far! Though I didn't use it in-game until more recent years, it's super nostalgic and has a fantastic aesthetic. Those fuzzy ears... that fluffy tail... that blush... those little fangs... that tough look in its eyes... It's the perfect balance of cool and cute! :D

Squirtle for me, since he evolves into the awesome Wartortle! Who is in my top 5. But for first stages alone, probably Fennekin, Chikorita, and Scorbunny. For final evos I adore Serperior and the Johto starters. ❤️

Blaze-chicken is my all time favorite! Put insane hours into Sapphire and Emerald as a child and nearly always took Blaziken. My first ever starter? Oof, I want to say it was Bulbasaur but that was a long time ago and I was very young.

My first starter ever was Cyndaquil.

I don't have an all time favorite starter, my favorites (in Pokédex order) would be:

Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Fennekin, Rowlet, Grookey.

Out of these, the ones I like the most in their final form are: Torterra, Infernape, and Decidueye.

Wasn't the first I picked, but Bulbasaur's my all time favourite. I just really enjoy everything about the Pokémon and it's always helped me during the games.

7 year old me would have stayed true to Charizard. But big brain me now perfers Infernape, as my 'nape in pokemon diamod was my 2nd best mon (behind JackSparrow, my honchkrow, which nastly plot swept cynthia) .

That said I'd say my favorite starter now is probably Mudkip? I really do like Swampert and Mega Swampert and it's always served me well enough. I will say that Infernape and Cat Daddy Incineroar are very close behind though.

Really like all the starters in general and my favoritism constantly changes. The first one would be Chimchar but that's mostly because that's my first ever starter, and then the favoritism would go to something like this if my memory serve correctly:

Chimchar > Totodile > Grovyle > Chespin > Primarina > Serperior > Oshawott (currently)
I think Rowlett and Bulbasaur is stuck in there somewhere, but I can't remember when

My favourite starter is definitely not the first one I picked but it's Inteleon. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of its posture nor skinniness but I just like it because of its smug lizard face and I do like its spy motive that can turn invisible like a chameleon as well as its cape like the draco lizard.

First starter was Eevee in XD if that counts.

I used all three of the Johto starters in different playthroughs on Gold (don't remember which I picked first), but Treecko is my favorite of all time. Empoleon is my favorite final evolution so that puts Piplup up there too, and I think Oshawott, Chespin, and Rowlet would round out my top 5 in no particular order.
