VBA - 1.8.0 to 1.7.2

    I was playing FireRed using VBA 1.8 Beta, but I can only use link with VBA 1.7.2. But I can't find a way to open the game I saved on 1.8 on 1.7.2 - it says "Unsupported VisualBoyAdvance save game version 9". I've tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. Please help?
     
    I get the same error when i tried to open a Windows-quicksave/snapshot/whatever you want to call it... in the Mac Version. And if you don't have the Application VBALink you can't use Link at all.

    Version 1.7.2 is the latest "stable" release while 1.8 is just a beta release. Both are basically the same besides some improvements on 1.8 which you probably won't even notice at all.
