2nd Gen Tyrogue evolution help!

    I have recently gotten a Tyrogue, and I would much rather it evolve into a hitmonlee, then a hitmonchan. Only, its defense is currently higher then its attack, and I dont know how to raise its attack! Can anybody help? :nervous:

    Use the vitamins that raises stats like Protien, Carbos, Calcium and so on. The description of the item should tell you which stat it raises.

    Use Simple Questions next time.

    If you're talking about Gold/Silver/Crystal, I think I'd better move this to Classic Games Discussion. But... yeah. I believe it's Protein that improves Attack power, so pump it full of that and you should be fine. ^_^ Now to move:

    go 2 the department store in goldenrod city and check from the third floor up which desk sells calcium, iron, etc. buy as many proteins possible and then use them all on tyrogue. and, if the macho brace is in this version, equip it with it as well to boost its attack. when it is @ level 19, save your game, then when it reaches 20, if u get hitmonlee, congratulations, if not try to tweak its stats some more.

    Sure, I can help you out.... Two things.

    1) Purchase some Protein(s) [one costs 9800]; you can get those from either the {Celadon or Goldenrod} dept. store, you can do that to boost Tyrogue's attack stat so it will evolve into the Hitmonlee you want.....
    [This directly answers Your Question]

    2) You can actually get both Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop in the game w/o trading (in GSC)... Here's How:

    * Go to the Pokemon Day-Care center (Just south of Goldenrod city)
    * Breed a {Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee} & a Ditto; give the day-care man one of the pokemon & the day-care lady the other (shouldn't make a difference)
    {Tip: Ditto is genderless, not a male or female}
    * Wait a few hours (game time, not actual time... but that's up to you) & then go back to the Day-Care center..... If you see the Day-Care man in the backyard, you have an egg waiting for you.... Congrats... You Have another Tyrogue !

    In Fire Red and Leaf Green, can you get a female Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee?
