Guys I was thinking about this for a looooong time now, and this is what i am asking

DOES ROAR WORK ON GHOST TYPES?! Roar is a normal type move, so it wouldnt effect. I see people saying it does work, Im not too sure. This question also relates to if Hypnosis works on Dark-Type Spiritomb.

ONLY ANSWER THIS QUESTION IF YOU have experienced it before.

Normal No effect on Ghost on both sides

Dark No effect from Psychic

Flying No effect from Ground

Basically, do the moves that are not designed to damage actually work ignoring the type?

yes it does work on ghost types. like lovely kiss hits ghost types and swagger as well. non-damage moves hit all types regardless of resistance except for certain status moves such as Will-o-Wisp and Thunderwave.

sleep moves hit all types. so yes that means hypnosis hits dark types.
