Here are some type matchups that I believe don't really make much sense. I would like to know if you think they make sense and can provide a justification, or if you agree with me and can suggest how they should match up. You can also post matchups that you don't think make sense that I do not list. These type matchups are:

Grass is super-effective against Ground and Rock. I honestly just don't see how this works out, and think it should be normally effective.

Electric is normally effective against Steel. I think it should be super-effective because metal is a conductor of electricity.

Ice is super-effective against Dragon. I understand they want to make it so Dragon isn't such a superior type, but I just don't see any other justification, and think it should be normally effective.

Poison is ineffective against Steel. Steel, like all minerals, can be greatly effected by chemicals, which can be associated with poison, though I believe it should be normally effective. Same goes with Poison against Rock. Posion should also be super-effective against Fighting, because even the strongest fighters will succumb to poison.

Psychic is not very effective against Steel. Psychic powers do not have a limit by the mass or density of an object such as steel, so it should be normally effective. I honestly think Steel has too many resistances.

Bug is super-effective against Psychic and Dark. What advantage does a bug have against these kind of types? Seriously, it makes no sense at all.

This one to me makes sense because seeds get into the ground or into a crack in a rock, take root, and then tear apart the rock from the inside. Haven't you seen cracked cement with plants growing out of it?

    100x agree.

This makes sense too, although I never thought of it. Maybe Poison would be a better type for it to have a weakness to.

I don't think Poison refers to any caustic chemicals to metal, but rather things that are poisonous to animals and such, which would easily drip off of a sheet of steel, and that goes for rock as well. However, I agree about Poison and fighting.

Psychic is not very effective against Steel. Psychic powers do not have a limit by the mass or density of an object such as steel, so it should be normally effective. I honestly think Steel has too many resistances.

The imaginary skill has to conform to your standards? :P By the nature of the skill not actually existing, you can't say that it has to be one way, maybe psychic powers in Pokemon are affected by mass or density.

Think of psychic as the human mind. Humans are afraid of the dark (Dark type), ghosts (Ghost type), and bugs (Bug type), so in that context it makes perfect sense. :3 I think of dark as the fact that most bugs thrive in dark holes, so darkness doesn't affect them like other Pokemon.

    Now for my own additions:

    1. Why is Fighting 2x against Steel? That makes no sense; why does punching Steel types do anything?
    2. Similarly, why is Fighting 2x against Ground?
    3. Ghost type moves should be normally effective against Steel types. Ghost moves typically are more mentally-based than physically-based, so its armor shouldn't affect the move much.

I think Fighting is super-effective against Steel because it's the concept of a punch being so powerful it can shatter steel. The same applies to it being super-effective against Rock. (It's normally effective against Ground, you must have been thinking Rock). I fully agree with you on the Ghost-type part, though.
