Turtwig Evolving Soon?

I got this theory while I was lying in the bed refusing to get up. I thought back to Ash when he was in Hoenn and had his Treecko. Then I anaylzed his position with Turtwig.

The theory:
Treecko- Competed in Ash's first gym battle, second gym battle, and in the fourth gym battle. On the way to the fifth gym Treecko evolves into Grovyle then doesn't evolve while in the Hoenn season, but the season following.

Turtwig- Competed in Ash's first gym battle, second gym battle, and there is a strong belief he will compete in the fourth gym battle. This brings me to believe on the way to the fifth gym battle Turtwig will face an experience where he will evolev, but will evolve to his final form after the Sinnoh season has ended.

Let us all remember this just my theory and I have no mind to think like the writers. I think it was a good observation and just shows how nerdy I am.

There is also another pattern you are missing

Look at all his other grass starters

Bulbasaur, Bayleef, and Sceptile

Look at their pattern: 0 evolve, 1 evolve, and 2 evolve
If the pattern continues, it may be likely that Turtwig won't evolve at all

Yes but that was when he used to get all three starters. since battle frontier more of his pokemon have been evolving to there final stage

Until I see a Grotle episode title, I'm not holding my breath. I mean I like I guess I'd care more if the movie spoiler thing showed it.

Ew, I hope it doesn't evolve.

My thoughts are that it could evolve into Grotle, and again to Torterra and battle against Paul's.

My other thoughts are that Turtwig won't evolve at all, but Chimchar will evolve up to Infernape and battle Paul's Torterra. Infernape will win, and Paul will realize he made a mistake upon releasing Chimchar. One of those 'how do you like me now?' kind of deals.

Yeah, but in Kanto and Johto hardly anything evolved. Caterpie did but left, Charmander did, and Pidgeotto did right at the end and left. And Bayleef was Ash's only evolution from Orange Islands till Advanced Challenge when Treeko evolved o.O Unless I'm missing something

No after that it was Swellow then Glalie. So your right on the monhey there with Treecko evolving first.

I have a stronger feeling that Chimchar will go on and evolve instead. I highly doubt they'll make Paul and Ash both have Torterras. Also, Torterra doesn't seem like a pokemon that can show enough emotion for it to be one of the main character's pokemon, if you can grasp that. Chikorita can be my example. His cute little face and body can display almost any emotion, wheras Butterfree didn't get so much attention. It's face just isn't... pliable? Call me crazy :D

But that gym battle thing is something I would have never noticed. You have a good reason to expect Tutwig to evolve.

man i wish turtwig evolves but if you look it this way from jotho and hoenn only his grass starter has evolve meaning that this time he has a fire and grass starter similar to the kanto and jotho sagas but i think chimchar will evolve to the final and turtwig will be turtwig i wish he has a torterra but knowing the path the anime allways take chimchar will be the one to evolve

I doubt it will ever get past Grotle because Paul already has a Torterra, one that he seems very fond of. Also, Ash's last grass starter managed to get all the way to its final evolution, so I doubt the writers will go through that again. Maybe it will be Chimchar, that way it can show Paul how strong it truly is.
