Chi-Yu is the easiest of the quartet to catch found it really easy caught it in a Dusk Ball in Scarlet and in a Premier Ball in Violet but the hardest of the quartet to catch is Ting-Lu took me over 40 Ultra Balls to catch it and finally caught it in the only Timer Ball I had (didn't realise I had a Timer Ball until I saw it in the Bag) and Wo-Chien took about 20 Ultra Balls before I threw a Luxury Ball accidently and caught it and Chien Pao was caught on my 6th Ultra Ball.

All the Treasures of Ruin have the extremely low catch rate of 6, meaning that neither is actually more harder to catch than the other. However, me personally, I had the most trouble with Ting-Lu because my party specifically had a lot of Ground-type weaknesses.

Does not remember these fights super clearly. Stuffed some candies into a Breloom (until level ~85) before the fight without knowing their types.
    • Easiest: Ting-Lu (Ground/Dark). No super-effective moves and vulnerable to Spore.
    • Easier: Wo-Chien (Grass/Dark). Probably took the most balls to catch because of Spore immunity. Was not in major danger, though.
    • Harder: Chi-Yu (Fire/Dark). Disliked Bounce on this thing. Worked around it by switching, at least.
    • Hardest: Chien-Pao (Ice/Dark). Hit Breloom fairly hard with Icicle Crash (and maybe with boosted Attack?). Slowed down the process.

Chi-Yu and Chien-Pao are also the two I had the hardest time to catch. It wasn't that their attacks hurt too bad or I couldn't get them weak enough. They just didn't want to stay in the ball. It easily took 15 to 40 poke balls to catch them.

The other two Ting-Lu and Wo-Chien, I caught within five poke balls.

Wo-Chien went in a regular Poke Ball while I was still working my way up to Timer Balls being the most effective =P
Went in on the 5th or 6th Poke Ball.

Chi-Yu took roughly 20 balls and I don't even remember what it ended up going in to.

Ting-Lu was the last one I fought and I struggled to keep it alive as I didn't have False Swipe as I never went back to school until postgame =P
Knocked it out 3 times, and caught it after about 30 balls on the 4th attempt.

Chien-Pao was the first one I encountered, but I lost count of the amount of balls I tossed first time round and it ended up struggling itself to death.
Caught it second time around on the 10th ball, which was a Premier Ball critial catch =D

Chi-Yu, red health and paralyzed, took me 40 pokéballs to go in and what annoyed me the most was its bounce spam. The rest was pretty easy to be honest, even caught Chien-Pao with a regular pokéball (second try) and bold natured.
