What were Tobias' pokémon? So far we know that his first is Darkrai with the following moves: Ice Beam, Dark Void, Dream Eater, and Dark Pulse. His second pokémon being Latios with the moves: Giga Impact, Luster Purge, and Light Screen. The fourth move is unknown. We now know that those two pokémon were both apart of a legendary duo. They also both had a base stat of 600. All pokémon apart of a legendary duo are Ho-Oh, Lugia, Latios, Latias, Darkrai, Cresselia, Xerneas, Yveltal, Mew, Mewtwo, Manaphy, and Phione. Lugia, Ho-Oh, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Mewtwo are considered a bit too strong for Tobias' team with base stats of 680. Latias and Cresselia most likely wouldn't be on his team as he only uses one member of a legendary duo. Phione, on the other hand, is too weak for tobias' team. This leaves us with Mew and Manaphy. Two pretty likely options. Although, this leaves Tobias' team at 4 pokémon. With the help of this website (psypokes.com/xy/basestats.php), I was able to see all pokémon with a base stat of 600. Since he can't really have another legendary, he'll have a normal pokémon like Salamence, Metagross, Hydreigon, Goodra, or Dragonite. All of these normal pokémon have a base stat of 600. So two of them would probably show up. Agree or disagree? Leave a reply! I always read them!

I think all of tobias' pokemon are dittos. Just a thought

Due to the fact that Darkrai and Latios were both present, we can't rule out the possibility of him having all legendary Pokemon. But the only Pokemon he would have would be those that can be caught with some sort of device or relic like the blue and red orbs for Kyogre and Groudon and the plates for Dialga and Palkia. I suppose his team would have Latias for sure because all evidences(movies) state that the duo is never separated. Other Pokemon include:
    1. Ho-Oh or Lugia.
Both of them are legendary Pokemon. They have been portrayed as fairly visible and catch able in Pokemon Manga and Pokemon Games. Due to this fact they prove to be very highly probable.
    2. Celebi or Jirachi.
Celebi the time traveler and Jirachi the wish granter, both of them are highly probable to appear in his team. They should have been fairly easy to catch for a person who has two legends.
    3. Rayquaza or Kyogre or Groudon.
Kyogre and Groudon can very well be controlled by the two orbs. Rayquaza is a little doubtful but we can't rule out the possibility as they all are catch able.
    4. Mew.
This is one Pokemon I know he would have. The Pokemon even though believed to be a myth is fairly existent in both Games and Manga. That Pokemon is very useful to a trainer due to it's ability to learn and execute all moves.

Those are all the Pokemon that I believe will exist in his team. Any others that may exist would be pseudo legendary Pokemon like Dragonite or Metagross.

I think Tobias is a ''Pokemon Collector'' who collect rare & Legendary Pokemon .
He probably enter the league to see if anyone can stand up to his Legendary Pokemon .
Also , he used Darkrai & Latios early Which imply that he has even rarer Legendary Pokemon.
After all , wouldn't he use his most prized collection as his last pokemon in a full battle ???

Well he is a pokemon trainer and im sure he must of had trained a powerful pokemon in order to capture both latios and darkrai im guessing he had a heatran somewhere in there with maybe a psuedo like a salamance or garchomp its all to the imagination

He had to capture Darkrai, which must have meant having strong pokemon to battle Darkrai with. Tobias is also clearly an adult; the guy's the real deal and must be extremely experienced, having bided his time before taking on the league with his Darkrai. He wouldn't have defeated Cynthia, because she's still Champion, but I bet he put up a hell of a fight. Ash did better against Tobias than anybody else, gym leaders and league trainers alike, but I bet he's got more powerhouses for back-up even if they're not legendary.

Tobias could have also caught them illegally. Like using some special machine to mind control them or have an illegal stash of Master Balls. All of those can work.

If my interpretation of the Pokemon world means anything, I'd say that Tobias cannot possibly have any of the world-breaking Pokemon, like: Kyogre, Regigigas, Rayquaza, etc... basically any of the Pokemon that there can only be one of based on their role in the Pokemon world. I'd say that capturing any one of these Pokemon would disrupt "the natural order of things" in how the world physically works.

This leaves a fair number of other legendary Pokemon that there are supposedly several of. I think the available Pokemon would be: Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Raikou, Suicune, Entei, Lugia, Ho-oh, the Regi-trio, Deoxys, Latios, Latias, Heatran, Cresselia, and Shaymin.

I'm not 100% sure about there being multiples of all of the ones I've mentioned, but I've said the ones that I would think multiples would exist of.

That being said, his team probably wouldn't consist of six legendary Pokemon, that would be absurd.

Well he has to have a starter of some sort... It seems like every pokemon trainer is really attached to their first pokemon, so I doubt Tobias is any different. Other than that, I'd assume legendaries

This looks like an old thread that was last posted 7 months ago before I joined the forum. :O

Like Jonathan has said, this thread hasn't received a post since seven months ago, prior to today. For future reference, threads that haven't received any new posts for over a month are considered dead and should not be posted in. If you want to continue speculating Tobias's team, there's always room for a new thread!
