3rd Gen ~to evolve a clefary or not to evolve a clefary that is the question~

so i restarted my fire red for the one million'th or so time and my team is a lil small but good. i have a lv.37 clefary and i realy want her to learn meteor mash at lv.45 but i need her to evolve now...
so whats every ones opinion?

she knows waterpulse,brickbreak,cosmicpower and moonlight.

You don't need her to evolve right now, right? It's not like anything's forcing you.

Juts get to level 45, learn Meteor Mash, then evolve.

Personally, I wouldn't waste your time with Meteor Mash anyway. It is much better as a staller or mixed attacker using Sesimic Toss or Focus Punch, both much better than Meteor Mash anyway. If you have access to RSE, feel free to evolve it and then take a Heart Scale to the Move Relearner and teach it Meteor Mash there.

And how exactly might Clefable learn Meteor Mash after it evolves? Last time I checked, Clefable learns only four moves through level up; Sing, Doubleslap, Minimize, and Metronome. Seeing as how Meteor Mash is not learnable through Clefable's level up, it is impossible for a Clefable to relearn Meteor Mash through the use of the Move Relearner.

Anyways, Meteor Mash isn't a very desirable offensive move. Clefable gets no STAB from it, and Steel in general is a pretty poor move for coverage. Clefable only has this 70 Attack stat to work with. It was never intended to be an offensive Pokemon.

You must need her to evolve now because your stuck on a battle or something.....if that's the case just take some time and train then evolve her at lv 45 if you still want to learn meteor mash

well i was stuck being beat by sabrina i stopped and trained, meteor mash isnt all that good. im thinking maybe softboiled,toxic,cosmicpower,brickbreak that is what she has now. so my team is
lv.46 clefable GIRL (fjele) sweedish for mountain
lv.45 graveler BOY (mohs) as in the mohs hardness scale
lv.47 blastoise BOY (rocket) hes a bad guy harhar
lv.37 dragonair GIRL (princess) idk
lv.35 electabuzz GIRL (eleboo) japinese name

if i wanted this team rated i wouldve put it in the RMT section.
thats just what i got so far i have all but the last badge and am training on the cycling road.

ya thats a good idea. you shouldnt evolve it till it learns all the moves it can as a clefairy

It depends, Does your clefairy have strong special attack or regular attack? I would teach it meteor mash to clefairy if it has hgih attack otherwise no if its good at spc. atk. ;]
