3rd Gen Tips on Slot machines

    Is there any easy way to rack up the coins in the game corner? Want to get myself a Porygon, Dratini and Scyther. Only have 900 coins so far and I need a millenia more. I have Pokemon Fire Red so not sure if there is any way to gain and earn coins. Any help would be great.
     
    I'd enlist the help of 6 Zigzagoons/Linoones/Meowths/Aipoms/i.e. any pokemon with "Pickup" and go fight little guys until I pick up a lot of nuggets. Then sell the nuggets (or other sellable items) and use the money to buy coins. I don't like the slot machines. :/ I'm not too good at them. the only ones I've ever liked were the ones in Pokemon G/S/C. :P

    *Edit* This method is also advantageous for Shiny Hunters, as you would want to encounter low-level wild pokemon for easy battles. :P

    I'd suggest the same thing as above although one time in my yellow version, I stayed up the entire night playing the slots and ended up with 9999 in the morning. So if you have no school the next day or no work, you could try but there's also the chance you can fail miserably. Oh yeah, and a tip, memorize where all the symbols on the slots are and how often they occur. That'll help.
     
    My method seems to work for me.

    I start the slots then I hit the first one then wait 1 second then hit the next untill all 3 are done.

    This normally works but you need perfect timing.
     
    yea, i faced the elite four and used my charizard with amulet coin in every battle which gave me 10,000-12,000 money. at the end of beating the elite 4 (i had 24 money lol) it said 48,000 or 50,000 money w00t. (or yen if i offend anyone)
     
    well, i did the duplication trick in g/s (with the pokemon holding a nugget) but now that doesn't work anymore so i do the zigzagoon thing and also use the vs. seeker to re-beat guys that give alot of dough.

    I just fight the elite 4 like over and over to get more money and get like tones of pokemon, and I hope to get a shiny or 2...
     
    you're better off spending the money in the safari zone, imo. dratini's are not that hard to catch. scyther is kinda tough, but i've manage to get them before. another tip in safari is to just stay in one spot and change directions, that way you don't take extra steps and still run into pokemon, pretty much the same as infinite minutes.

    i don't know any easy way to get porygon.. but yeah, just spend money on coins, but forget getting dratini with coins cuz you can catch one easily. i caught like 3 in the safari zone, lol.
