Anyone know, in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, exactly how many there are in these games? I keep stumbling into them around Route 119 and 120. I even found one directly behind the Registeel cave. Anyone know how many there are and there locations? Just wondering really.

Good question! I really really wanna help you out but i dont know... I dont really go hunting for Kecleons... but i could help you investigate... by that I mean play the game and find out...

    I know some of the Locations;

    - One by the Gym in Fortree, you encounter to get into the gym,
    - One by Steven on Route 120, again encountered to pass through,
    - One blocking the steps down to TM11 Sunny Day on Scorched Slab, on Route 120,
    - One in the Northern Section of Route 119 by the bikes tracks (only in R/S, replaced by one in the dead end path near the entrance to Fortree in Emerald),
    - One by the Camper/Picknicker on Route 120 in the 'maze' bit of long grass,
    - One by the 4 patches of soil by the small water patch in the Southern part of Route 120,
    - One behind the Registeel cave on Route 120.

I think thats all ive found so far, making that 7. Maybe there are more?

Route 119 - two spaces to the right of the ninja just before entering fortree

and was there one behind the first signpost to the right of fortree?

You are completely right, ive just checked these two locations and found two 'undiscovered' Kecleons that ive missed. Ill add these two to the list.

    - One just to the right of the last ninja before Fortree, in the indent in the tress, on Route 119,
    - One directly above the first sign in the North of Route 120.

That makes a total of 9 'invisible' Kecleons so far.

I got one... but this one is only in Emerald...
Just after you battle May near the weather institute... go north... then there's like two trainers in a way that leads to a dead end... a Kecleon will be there...

I'll tell you how many kecklons there are- too many ;)

But yeah, if i remember correctly there's 9, most of which have been listed.

Thats the one I put here:

Yeah, ive listed 9 so if thats all then thanks very much you lot. :)

I think you can also find them in the high grass sometimes

You can, especially on those routes around Fortree, but were specifically on the pre-programmed Kecleons which are invisible on screen, but you can bump into them. Not just random wild ones anyway.

but how many of them 9 just run away?

I dont know, to be perfectly honest, Ive never really give them a chance to, I never knew that they could. Always, sort of defeated them in one hit. :)

Actually, if you make them appear with the silph scope, then it will either say 'The startled pokemon attacked!' Or just "The startled pokemon fled!"

Oh, I see what you mean. The only one that runs straight away like that is the one outside the gym, all the others enter proper battles.

Maybe there are 7 Kecleons on 3 verision

Please don't bump threads over a month old. kthxbailocked.
