    Well, the Black and White series aired in america today, with the first two episodes - in the second one, Team Rocket said their new Motto.

    What did you think of it? Did you like the old ones better? Or did you love it?

    Here's a little transcript if you can't remember:
    JESSIE: Again is the question, so twerpish indeed!
    JAMES: The answer to come as we feel the need!
    JESSIE: Bringing the blinding white light of evil into the future!
    JAMES: Thrusting the hammer of justice down onto the black darkness of the universe!
    MEOWTH: And carving our names in rock of eternity!
    JESSIE: The fiery destroyer, Jessie!
    JAMES: And with thunderous emotion, I am James!
    MEOWTH: Wisest of the wise, Meowth!
    ALL: Now gather, under the name of Team Rocket!​
     
    I love it. I simply do. I had almost lost all hope at Sinnoh, but then they give me this. My favorite part is Meowth's line: "Wisest of the wise, Meowth". I would have to agree with that, since Meowth apparently has the knowledge to create Mechas with various functions that would probably take a lot of designing. But generally, the motto is great. It is not focused simply on rhyming, which shows that they've passed that part and are much more serious than to bother with such things. I love the new and serious team rocket, and I love their motto too.
     
    Frankly, I think I missed the motto o.o I was too busy texting during the show. Was there music playing in the background? If there wasnt then thats probably why I missed it. The music gave Team Rockets Motto a nice tune.
     
    This motto makes me miss the Kanto and Sinnoh mottoes. But it does include "twerp" in it, and sounds more sinister.
     
    I like the motto, its a fresh new breath of air, compared to the old one which I taught was really overused. It shows Team Rockets new standing and how their much more serious with their jobs now.
     
    To be honest I dont like it because it didnt rhyme much or anything, It just didnt sync for me, but their performance beyond the motto was brilliant work on their part. Almost got away.

    Yes, it did have music backing their motto.

    There isn't anything to dislike about their new motto; I found it pretty decent. I can't help but say that it did seem a bit bland without Wobbuffet...

    I haven't heard it yet but from what you posted, I think it sounds interesting. I might go look for it later tonight. It definitely sounds more sinister and Wobbuffet was starting to get a little bland. I think it sounds like an big improvement from their last attempts but as with everything, I'll always miss the original. <3
     
    The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't rhyme. But aside from that, I love it. I love the end, "now gather under the name of Team Rocket!" And I like how they didn't change it much from the Japanese one. It's serious, unlike their other mottos. It even sounds like something they might not have made up, the way they made up their own mottos before. They probably made this one up too since I doubt Giovanni or anyone else in TR would bother to make one, but it sounds like it could come from a higher up or something, if you know what I mean. -_-

    It seems pretty nice. Not as rhyme-y as the original TR trio motto, though. I only have an issue with the "white light of evil" line... :\

    It actually seems like something that would be in some kind of Japanese anime script/dialogue, so I don't think people can complain of any "cheesy" lines or such. It conveys a sense of seriousness and really sticks close to the original Japanese lines, essentially rendering the same meaning as the original. The "thrusting the hammer of justice" line seems quite long, but it seems pretty cool, I guess.

    I was quite surprised at the "fiery destroyer" and "thunderous emotion" mentions - not only do they cleverly refer to Reshiram and Zekrom, they really sound like something I'd only hear in Super Sentai toku or some original Japanese anime script, so props to the writers for those cool lines. Maybe Meowth can utilize an "icy" quote to reference Kyuremu when it gets unveiled...? :o

    Anyway, I await "motto improvisations" in the future! :)
     
    Wooooow this motto is awesome.

    References to Reshiram and Zekrom AND Black and White? Along with the theme song mentioning Black and White, wow. Hmm trying to find a connection between Meowth's two lines. Wise does sound kinda like ice, so it somewhat makes sense. Either way I like this new motto. First two lines are kinda weird though.
     
    Not only is the motto catchy, but Team Rocket itself has actually become something that I look forward to watching. In previous seasons, I really couldn't stand whenever Team Rocket showed up. They just seemed to be a thorn in Ash & Co's side, and a dull thorn at that. But now they're more devious, careful, and just plain evil. If you haven't been watching the Japanese subs, then you have missed one of the most intriguing stunts they have ever pulled. I was in awe, and sat stunned for a few seconds as I let it sink in. I'll admit, I was in denial, waiting for someone to wake up and it to all be a dream, but it wasn't. Now I actually look forward to their next evil deeds.
     
    Good.....but not as good as some of their earlier ones. What I LOVE is how awesome Team Rocket has become. They still lose, but gone is the stupidity of the Sinnoh saga. It looks like Giovanni and the bulk of Team Rocket may well get more attention than in Johto or Kanto, to my recollection. Rocket vs Plasma=win.
     
    It was kind of awkward to hear it at first, I think something didn't really carry on between the original and the dub, but overall I like this new motto. It really defines Team Rocket's new serious overtone for me. Also, I've been kind of getting tired of that "PREPARE FOR TROUBLE!" crap that they did for over four seasons.
     
    I really Team Rockets new motto. It is really cool! I really like the part of the motto where Jessie says "Fiery Destroyer" and James says "Thunderous Emotion" that is so cool that they reference Reshiram and Zekrom.
