    The Shiny Charm was an item introduced in Black2/White2 and has been in every Pokemon game since. In order to obtain one, you need to complete the national Pokedex. Once obtained, you have triple the chance of finding shiny Pokemon.

    Did anyone bother to collect the Shiny Charm in Pokemon games?
     
    i got it in X bc i actually completed the national dex in that game, but that's the only one i can boast it. i was working on it for let's go eevee as well, but i haven't touched the game in a while + i don't have a way to trade to get exclusives and trade evos so rip. it's literally the easiest pokemon game to finish the dex in and yet here i am. goofin
     
    I've gotten it in every game since it was introduced except for the Let's Go games. Catching Pokemon is the main appeal of the games for me, so I just naturally got the Shiny Charm.
    I've managed to get quite a few shinies because of it, so I'm quite thankful of it.

    Yeah, it takes a lot of time/work/trading but is worth it imo! Collecting all the mons required for the Shiny Charm has always been one of my end-game goals. =') Breeding for shinies with the charm + Masuda Method makes it a lot less stressful to shiny hunt, too.
     
    No, completing the Pokedex seems like more work to me than just chaining/soft resetting a bit more for Shinies. x.x
    I might be getting it in Let's Go Eevee, though - not really for the sake of the Shiny Charm, but because I realized that now that I have Pokemon Go, I can rather easily complete the Pokedex. (In addition to being able to get version exclusives without trading, I also don't have to do any trade evolutions, because I can just use Candy and transfer the evolved Pokemon over.) It's exciting because it'll be my first time completing even a Regional Dex!

    If there was a way to get the Shiny Charm earlier in the game then I'd be all for it, because over the past few gens I haven't done much beyond the main story, and I'm usually well short of completing the Pokedex (the last time I did was back in FireRed I think lol).
     
    I've gotten it in gen 6, SM, and LGPE (thanks, Bank and in the latter case, GO and a small dex). I probably could do more shiny hunting with it though...
     
    I try to get the Shiny Charm in every new gen that gets released! It's a big time sink and, tbf, I haven't even bothered in Sun and Moon yet just because I was so invested in other stuff (might skip it altogether since a new generation is basically on the horizon). But I will most certainly be striving for it or it's equivalent in SWSH! >:D
     
    I haven't received the Shiny charm in any game. I have all non legendary Pokemon in Y. But not all legendaries.
    I kind of like hunting full odds in it without shiny charm so I haven't been trying to complete it.
