Pokemon Starters after gen 3 has had a theme which influenced their design

Gen 4: Mythology/Gods: Infernape - Sun Wukong, Empoleon - Poseidon, Tortera - World Turtle of Chinese mythology

Gen 5: Foreign Culture/Status: Surperior - French monarchy, Sumurot - Japanese Daimyo, Emboar - Chinese pig demon-god (Note that all of them are based of the highest rank one can achieve in such cultures Emperors, Daimyo (Who'm are Samurai warlords), and Gods.

Gen 6: RPG archetypes: Chesnaugh - Knight, Delphox - Wizard, Greninja - Theif/Assassin...

    Gen 7?

For me: Ducidueye - is a Green Arrow (superhero), Incineroar - Tiger Mask (Japanese wrestling hero), Primarina - Little mermaid (mythology)?

So what do you think the gen 7 is thematically inspired by...

Well, for me Decidueye is an Archer, Incineroar is a heel wrestler and Primarina is a mermaid. How they all link I'm not sure.

But it could also be that they are a continuation of the RPG archetypes: Decidueye - Rogue, Incineroar - Brawler/Beserker, Primarina - Bard.

I think it's still going off RPG archetypes like in Gen 6. Only this time it's an Archer, Brawler and Bard.

So we have six starters based on RPG class roles? That's just silly. lol
