The Pokétch was a pretty nifty item in DPPt that had a wide variety of different apps listed below. However with BDSP, since there is no bottom screen like on the DS, I have been wondering how they are going to implement it. What do you think?

    [PokeCommunity.com] The Pokétch

    Digital Watch
    Calculator
    Memo Pad
    Pedometer
    Pokémon List
    Friendship Checker
    Dowsing Machine
    Berry Searcher
    Day-Care Checker
    Pokémon History
    Counter
    Analog Watch
    Marking Map
    Link Searcher
    Coin Toss
    Move Tester
    Calendar
    Dot Artist
    Roulette
    Trainer Counter
    Kitchen Timer
    Color Changer
    Matchup Checker
    Stopwatch

Also bonus question - which Pokétch app was your favorite in the originals? What kind of app would you like to see added in BDSP?

holy cow i don't remember there being that many apps lmao.

i do hope it gets added back - i could see it having a similar User Interface, accessed by pressing the R or L button. I think for me the most useful app was the Day-Care Checker! it was nice being able to see when the egg was ready to be picked up so you could wait for another while trying to hatch a pokémon with a specific nature/etc. as far as what apps are added? i sincerely hope it's used somehow in lieu of HMs.

I'd usually just have either the Dowsing Machine or Map open.
Daycare checker sounds useful too, but I was not into breeding at all back in gen IV.
Can't really think of anything I'd like to see added as a Poketch app since 'Link Searcher' already sounds like a trading app.

For implementation... I reckon it will either be a menu option/item or a button press as mentioned above.

Honestly, a lot of the apps on the Poketch I tended to forget about but I used the Daycare Checker and I think the Pokémon List, and Friendship Checker the most. The friendship checker certainly came in handy for me when trying to evolve pokemon like Budew x'D Still have a level 40+ Budew floating around on my Platinum because I could only ever play at night lmao.

The status/HP app was incredibly useful for me when I was younger, was just so much easier to look at the bottom screen to see how my Pokémon are doing instead of checking the party menu since that required extra clicks. The amazingness of the Pokétch came from the fact that it was easily accessible in the bottom screen, if it's going to require an extra click to get to in BDSP it won't be the same. The convenience will be gone :( Maybe a little screen for it in one of the corners would work okay but only if it doesn't look too obstructive and the contents are clear enough.

I don't know how they are going to implement the pokétch, but I used to use the counter a lot while EV training. Before that, I used to use a paper to count.
