3rd Gen The Evolution of Hoenn’s Starters

An article going into the iterations the Hoenn Starters had! This is based on information from the recent gigaleak, but no info about upcoming titles or whatnot are within.

I still prefer mudkip. However, I do like the beta water starter. Something about having a floaty is cute for a water starter

The water starter kinda looks like a beta design of scorbunny, but as a water type. I wonder if it's 2nd and 3rd stage evolution would've changed the blue floatation sac's position like similar to what floatzel's, buizel's design, or would've just stayed the same.

Maybe its evolutions would undergo a character arc, learn to swim and ditch the floaty lol. Final stage is a professional swimmer.
...But now that you mention it, Diggersby kind of looks like it has a floatation sac, or am I reaching? It's another bunny, maybe one of the later stages' design was reused in some way.
